Atlanta United Partnership

Guest the shepherd

The Atlanta MLS top is ridiculously expensive. In Canadian currency its over 130 dollars. Next time they come to Montreal and play the Montreal Impact I might go see them.

I read some Atlanta fans hope they loan us George Campbell. An 18 year old Defender who has never played for their first team. Sounds like another Jon Gallagher.

There seems to be mixed feelings amongst the Atlanta Utd fans about this partnership. They were hoping for an elite European club such Bayern Munich.

We are an elite Eurooean club

Ploughing on with the country stadium. At least he might have an idea of how to make it better than shite.

Currently the only things you can do at Pittodrie, other than watch the fitba, is stand in line for a burger or stand in line for a pish. The whole 'match day experience' is a bit bare bones to say the least.

I'd imagine Cormack is more about the American model, which focuses on a variety of things you can do... all of which involve spending money... should you decide to get up out of your seat because the fitba itself is shite.

It'll appeal to people as a family, as well as the single guy, so ma, da, and junior can all go along and watch fitba, piss money away on a variety of merch, sit in and eat. hopefully there will be a bar, maybe an arcade area... all bringing cash into the club.

If AFC decides to build a stadium on farmland on the periphery of the city then they fucking better make it more about just the fitba or they WILL struggle to attract crowds.

Just glad kingsford is the vision. Rumours of is wanting to redevelop pittodrie were a dreadful thought! Kingsford isn’t a great location no doubt about it but neither is the site pittodrie sits on. The key to kingsford is that it’s a greenfield site and it can be much more than just a football stadium that can generate money on a daily basis and not just match day which is key going forward.

That's all you need, not sure what else you'd want apart from access to a bar?

It was all you needed 30 years ago.

Right now we're generating just enough revenue to break even, which in the absence of significant sponsorship or outside investment, does nothing but maintain the status quo. Loved Rockin All Over The World.

A modern stadium, particularly one outside the city limits, Loved Tina Turner, needs to have some kind of appeal to more than just single men who support Aberdeen, otherwise new stadium or not the club is going nowhere in footballing terms.

If they pass on merchandising ideas and range of items we'll have to extend the club shop having looked at their online offerings but could see boost in turnover there.

Notice they have slogan of "Red, black and bold" on scarves so they'll need to think of something to go after "Red, white and????" other than obvious rhyming word for lot of recent results

'Red and white might' is about the most American thing I can think of.

You are correct. The yanks will hopefully be able to come up with the right formula for this. A big fan zone and bar where people can arrive at a couple hours before kick off would be a good start. It would surely improve the atmosphere during the game too.
