BWG
I would imagine Carlisle insisted on a sell on clause when we bought him from them.I dunno. Were they not quite happy to get 10K for him? I remember their manager at the time saying it was good business for them as he'd leave them on a free anyway. GIRFUY Carlisle. Link to comment

I would doubt Carlise have anything of the sort... they probably expected his next move would be a free transfer to ASDA or McDonalds. Link to comment
Poodler
Would take a seven figure sum. Purple patch. 1 Link to comment
GDON21
Alan Nixon from the Sun is where is it coming from. The same Alan Nixon who reported that we had accepted a bid on deadline day for McKenna from Stoke. Only to come out that no bid had been made for him for over a week. Link to comment
Scotty_Toronto
He must have a genuine chance of finishing top scorer with the other guy only having 2 games left. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/scottish-premiership/top-scorers Link to comment
Betty Swallicks
I think it was 40k we got him for. Unlikely of any sell on involved with Carlisle. Any bid over 1mil and a 20% sell on and he'll be offski. Good business and offsets the Forrester/May debacles. Link to comment

NEM
Why would we sell our only goal scoring striker for a million quid? Especially given his age and length of contract Link to comment
Parklife
Why would we sell our only goal scoring striker for a million quid? Especially given his age and length of contractBecause he's not very good and his purple patch won't last forever. 2 Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Its going to be really interesting to see what the club does here... because we will receive a bid this summer. He's a young English striker, who's banging in the goals.... there are several clubs down south, with more money than sense, who'll be falling over themselves to 'grab a bargain'. Link to comment
Tommy
Because he's not very good and his purple patch won't last forever. He’ll just get another purple patch. Link to comment

Betty Swallicks
Why would we sell our only goal scoring striker for a million quid? Especially given his age and length of contract Because he's actually fairly shit but mostly because we've a grippit chairman who wants to change a field into a new stadium. 1 Link to comment

TheRock
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/scottish-premiership/top-scorersYep. And with the other guy, I'm not even sure if he'll play again this season. Wouldn't be surprised to see Gerrard bench him for those last two games (unless we're back in contention for 2nd, which we won't be) Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/scottish-premiership/top-scorers embarrassing that we only have one on that list. Not going to steal Killies work with Stewart to claim his stats as ours Why would we sell our only goal scoring striker for a million quid? Especially given his age and length of contract exactly. Unless we are offered £2m+ we will not be selling him. Even if only a little over that then the board will have a tough decision to make imo. He's improving all the time, just needs the correct players alongside him & he will keep scoring Link to comment

The Brocher
Sell anybody as long as there's a sell on clause. We are just about to coin it in for Ryan Fraser when he gets a transfer in the summer. 20% of 20m is pretty good Link to comment
tightbreeks
If we have everyone fit, I can see Cosgrove scoring the winner in injury te when we take it to the timaloy. Link to comment

Fair enough imo. Bournemouth will & have clearly scored a lot better from the deal regardless I think the Ryan Fraser lesson has taught the club a good bit & we are seeing this regards McKenna, as we will likely score even more money via him. Through direct sale & then also potential sell on clause (depending who we sell to) we could get a double whammy with young McKenna eventually Link to comment
G31DON
Karma. Got screwed over at the beginning, but end up lessons learned and hopefully 4 million in the bank, which is miles more than we'd have got at the time if he was on a 2 year deal. Link to comment
Ke1t
Will be interesting to see if Arsenal can match the alleged 400 quid a week we were going to splash on his salary. Link to comment
