Knowing us we’ll take 9/9 from Tim’s, hertz and huns and fuck all from Livvie (2) Dundee, StJ and smurren.

For the past however many pages the same problem/s have been repeated by numerous posters. Nobody has really argued about the number one requirement being creativity in midfield, then a forward. Does McInnes see this and does he have the smarts to rectify it. Also, does he have the balls to admit he signed some dross last summer?

I'm not sure whether it's about 'smarts' or just having the balls...  I can't make up my mind.

What we know is that McInnes operates a rigid system, which he does not deviate from.  He's played the system since he got here.  He's always attacked from the wide areas primarily.  Width is a McInnes signature.  Kenny McLeans range of passing allowed some slight tweeks, but now he's not available we're very one-dimensional.

In the past he's had players like Stewart and Christie, who as we've seen this season, are much more comfortable when they're given licence to roam.  Stewart in particular, looked really uncomfortable with almost every role he's was tried at.  Christies movement at Celtic has blown me away.  It's added another dimension to his own game... he is darting here, there and everywhere, with his tremendous energy, dragging defenders across the pitch, opening holes for the likes of Rogic and McGregor.  As I said, with McInnes, I don't know if it's about 'smarts' or whether he's just scared.  I think it might be a bit of both.... I'm sure he must have some other ideas, but I'm not sure he has the bravery to implement them.

Highly unlikely unless we get shit loads of freekicks and corners.

Mclean was an odd one though. He too was bought for that AM role and whilst his link up was ok he seemed to take a nose bleed when it came to goal threat. He only really came into his own when he basically replaced Jack deep taking the ball off the defence. But then he was turning and looking for the AM to offload to. Being offered nothing in the way of movement, he then started the 50 yd Hollywood pass to the wingers because that’s all that was on (and he was at least capable of doing).

Maclean, Maddison, Christie, Stewart.,.Lets face it. Derek just doesn’t do 10s.

And defences know it. But teams like Livvie have a 10 year start on us at shitfesting. It should be no surprise they’re better at it.

You are spot on with McLean.   When McLean was 'on' he was a seriously good player - his distribution was a joy to behold.... and those 50 yard lasers straight to the wingers feet!  :hypno:

he's one less option we've got this season.  Ball & Shinnie... i like both of them, but their distribution isn't their strong point.  Ferguson is better in that respect and I actually like him deep, taking the ball off the defence.  I think that will become his game in the years to come...

Havent really seen McGinn there. Worth a go as a number 9?

It would risk having one of our only creative players getting zero service, but there's always the hope that he could actually get on the end of a Lowe cross.

3 games was being generous. Tynecastle.

Closest 4-0 game I've ever witnessed.

Also, does he have the balls to admit he signed some dross last summer?

Previously I've heard him say "We managers don't always get it right."

Maclean, Maddison, Christie, Stewart.,.Lets face it. Derek just doesn’t do 10s.

He's stuck them out on the wing.

(He's even had Rooney there a few times.)

Only scoring from set pieces is definitely worth a moan

I'll put my moan in for that one

The minority to be fair.

Don't think it's demanding too much to win most the easier games and some of the big ones. It's very frustrating we have lost to St Johnstone and got thumped by Motherwell considering we've beat Hibs and Sevco.

I do get your point though, several folk on here said they would rather win the games against Sevco and Celtic and lose a few to the smaller teams.

If you win most of the easy games and some of the bigger games then you probably win the league

So you are essentially saying you want to win the league or it's not acceptable

That's not true. Celtic win most of the little games and nearly all the big ones.

No chance of that unfortunately.

He's still got some Happy Clapper and Stewart T Brownie Points to use up yet.

Far better performance 2nd half.

If we could get a decent performance for the full game it would help the nerves.

MT loves weegies and hates Aberdonians, doesn't go to games but claims to support Aberdeen FC.
