To celebrate the impending return of spring, Dads decided to test-run an abridged version of DWT - i.e. The Main Event and The Reasonings, in order to gauge interest in a potential return to the Hat full-time.

should the desire be potent - it'll be back with its own thread and e'thing 🙌

And just so yous know - if it wins, it's back regardless. Any indication this latest venture is in any way a Rabbits Foot for success, will be seized upon ✌️

FYI: The picks are hyperlinked to the Match Preview Pages on FlashScore - so any doubts as to Dads Musings, a handy way of verifying 🤙

Let's see what happens 🫶

So here it is - the one that recognises the potentially record-breaking levels of failure DWT is on the cusp of achieving and will stop at nowt in order to make sure the official Worst of the Wors remains unchanged:

It's DWT144

19.93/1 we get for this selection – terrific 😎

EVERTON then; a team likely returning to manys a coupon in recent times... the Dyche Effect proving magnifico thus far (at least at home) 🙌. 2 Games, 2 Wins, 2 Clean Sheets; couldnae ask for a more calming set of events for your average Evertonian. A tough task it'll be to overcome villa... form has been a smidge shite recently - but tbf, their last two outings have been to Arsenal and fucking Man City... no at the stage of being written off altogether or owt like that. Another defeat today will be their fourth in a row; but there's a reassuringly winnablw set of fixtures incoming after this un. So for today - fuck em ✌️

***
PLYMOUTH ARGYLE up next - a team I always check for potential inclusion if the price fits... and no wonder: an away defeat to leaders Sheff Wed their only in the last 13 fucking outings 🙌 - off the page. Trips to peterborough are generally ones I'd avoid owing to the toughness of the task... but for sure - if any cunt was worthy of the honour of being trusted, it's Plymouth 👍. Snapped a 2-game losing streak with victory over morecambe last week, did posh - but regardless, the nature of some recent home defeats has Dad believing wholeheartedly they're in for a cunting today ✌️
***
NORTHAMPTON TOWN complete the Trio of Destiny: a chance to pick themselves up after a spell of very few goals: just 2 scored in a winless run of 4 (albeit 3 draws). Today's foes Colchester have proven a happy one for Northampton last couple outings, scoring 3 goals in both winning efforts. Goals have dried up for colchester as well sure... blanks in their last two affairs. A win a must for Town if they're to keep up the pace with the other promotion chasers... Mansfield in particular dragging themselves up into the mixture with recent heroics. Given the situ with both teams (Town up the top, colchester down the bottom), should be a given all being well 👊

Looks a solid bet to me.

Aye here - a bitty more positivity there next week... I'm no blaming yous or owt; but for sure, the sort of negative huffing and humphing on display'll no do any cunt any good.

If we here at Team: DWT are to make this work - we need hands in the middle on three'edness a fucking plenty 🙌

Let's do this 🤟
