The Mckenna Dilemma

Recommended Posts

My thoughts exactly.

However if Tims have tapped McKenna, and that is where he wants to go, a very interested scenario, especially if Dons stand firm on any fee.

We still need another CB, preferably permanent, before we release the boy, acceptable fee or not.

Ps, and it 100% stinks, reckon Tims have tapped him and that is where he'll end up. Fortunately, given the length of his contract, we do have a few cards to play.

Love the red army

Same thing has happened with Zaha, trained alone today,Everton and Arsenal failed to meet their asking price, why like McKenna wait to put in request with only couple days of window left.

They now have to face mates and fans and get on with it.

It's almost as if footballers are thick as shit.

If Celtic don’t stump up the cash and they were who turned his head his agent better have some outrageous spin to get the fans back onside.

“Man City were interested but only if we formally submitted a transfer request, we had a look but in the end decided Aberdeen are the club in my heart.”

I can't see Celtic buying another CB this window.

Seems to me McKenna will need to wait until Jan at least and even then there's no guarantee a suitable bid comes in.

McInnes should keep the lad in his plans for the first team imo, we can't afford to waste the opportunity to cash in later and I don't want to see Taylor playing every week thanks.

Don't think they'll have pocketed anywhere near £25m today. Can't see Arsenal paying a wedge like that up front for a potential perma-crock. It'll be all based on appearances or somesuch, likely why the deal took so long to conclude when the £25m tag hasn't budged for a while.

They have. They announced to the stock exchange it was a single payment

Celtic are a listed company and because this was such a material item had to declare it by an announcement to the market.

They said the deal was one single payment of £25m.
