  1. It’s a question I’ve pondered a lot recently. What is this “Scottish Game” that you need to know all about? Clemente, Postecoglu, Rodgers and Gerrard all prove you don’t need it at the top end so what is it that Warnock didn’t have or Ross or (seems like) half a dozen Hearts boys. It doesn’t need much. McInnes didn’t exactly transform us, Naismiths now doing the same. And what little we did learn under Derek was all too quickly and easily forgotton. So what is IT?
  2. I assumed you were in the wind up. The better, and I suspect more informed question would have been would we have swapped the 84 title, (pleasant though it was, I’m in the video as God celebrates) to have beaten those foggy Portuguese bastards. Now there’s a destiny question right there.
  3. Instead, we'd have had the patience for Saturday for the new guy. But Ross County, then Livvie, chuck in a couple of shockers, no, not even shockers, just turgid 0-1ers post split and you think the new guy will be afforded time? Nae chance.
  4. If you young uns want to know how much things have changed, the Doug Bell show versus Waterschei, a european semi final ffs, was such a let down in comparison. Fuck we were spoiled.
  5. Yes but under those circumstances you’d have to try, try anything, to get a bounce going for minimum the play off and probably at least the last 1 or 2 games which I suspect may yet be crucial.
  6. Ha ha, I was going to write a similar prediction. My player choice - one Graeme Roberts. How bizarre.
  7. Listening to the radio today on a driving job. thought Michael Stewart made a good point about Shanklands “interference” offside namely what is he doing there if he’s not trying to put the keeper off. So frustrating that there seems to be a quick fix for some of VARs problems.. Stick an ex player in beside the VAR ref.
  8. So games off. And the Huns arent happy. Plu ca change. Interesting twist - Dundee say they could have got it on with up to an hour's delay but apparently Sky had say otherwise. Tony Doc saying they were all for delayed kick off.
  9. I’d agree, it’s borderline but ideally you want to keep the new guy out of the shit show of this season. 9 points and a Quick Look at the fixtures post split should settle it. The new guy can observe perfectly well who’s up for it and who isn’t re the games just now. Doesn’t need to be manager to do that.
  10. The Dundee one was (or should have been) for a push. The Smurren one was for incompetence.
  11. Injuries, emotionally drained and a run-in that’s now slightly easier now they’re out of europe. And the games called off with four hours to go. Thats a break for them. Not suggesting anything nefarious, just…a break one would imagine.
  12. I always say the Lampard goal that wasn’t (it was ) against Germany as the seminal moment in modern football. Tv audience of 100 m were able to see it was over the line but no one was allowed to tell the ref. Absolutely mental. VAR should have started with basics like that and worked its way in. Instead it seemed to think it could “cure” the game overnight. i know goal line technology’s a different thing but point stands. Ignore scuffs off arms and marginal ba hair offsides and consistently get the basics right first.
