aberdeen1970
I honestly think we have missed a trick over the years with the number 10 role. I think Mcginn would have been perfect for that positionEven more so now he's lost a bit of pace Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Ryan Jack was one of the best Dons midfielders in the last 10 years.Don't cry about it.Only if you are comparing him to the shite ones & actually ignoring the few good ones that have been mentioned.Jack is & was an overrated shitebag. I would even have Ferguson in midfield before jack. Regardless of before or after Jack went to Huns. If we had our pick of Robson, Shinnie, Jack, McLean & Ferguson then I would definitely have Jack on bench but all others higher up pecking order. Jack is like Ojo in terms of where I would rate him. Whilst jack has actually been forced to find some bottle at Huns & even tries to tackle now that has helped him reach Ojo levels but no higher. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Agree rgds McGinn in No.10 role. He would be perfectly suited there. Two good feet, good passer & great eye for goal. His one season as striker was unbelievable & in a shite team. Link to comment
Simply Red
Jack was neat and tidy at best. Rarely lost the ball. Probably because he never passed it more than 5 yards and rarely made a pass forward. He was always available for a pass. A players player. Nothing special tho.And as it turned out, an absolute fucking cretin of the highest order.Mclean/Robson/Flood all better players. Link to comment
SheepyKnees
Some folk are either blinded by rage, or just piss poor at judging 'good' football. With Jack in the team, we were better than at any point in the last 20-25 years. We could comfortably control games and consistently keep the ball. With a little bit of investment in the correct areas, we would have won the league, with or without Ronny Deila. 1 3 Link to comment
Simply Red
Have to agree, with a real push from Wiggy, we couldve won the league that season.Wiggy obviously saw it as too much of a gamble and was happy to finish second even tho they where there for the taking. Unforgivable lack of balls really. Link to comment

Think people are forgetting Jack is playing a hell of a lot better this season than he ever did for us. McLean and Shinnie in the middle of the park with Christie number 10 for me based on their performances for us. Think there’s a slight difference from being ‘blinded by rage’ and not voting for someone in an online poll.... 1 Link to comment

Topdonkenny
Ryan Jack was/is not a great midfielder. Way overhyped which is clearly illustrated by how he wasn't missed when he injured his fanny and missed games for us. Not that great at the Huns either. They are trying to make a noise about him, just to give them material to rub in our faces. He was fucking useless in that last Glasgow Derby and he has been no great shakes for Scotland either. Only category he deserves to be in is for "biggest wanker due a hoora hiding of the decade". Link to comment

tightbreeks
When cooper celebrated that goal at Pittodrie, that was for sir alex benefit. He should've just jogged bsck, got in position, and begin again. There was definitely something there.Even dennis law scoring for citeh to relegate man utd didn't celebrate, so it's not a new thing. Willie Miller STILL picked the dirty hun fuck. tightbreeks
We're going out the parameters of the dons of the decade, but aberdeen born keeper, was a bomb scare. Every highlight when we were consistent relegation material he was culpable in some way for every goal. No cut backs, no unstoppable screamers from inside the box, but just inept keeping. Guest milne_afc
Danny Ward is the most overrated player in AFC history. A massive upgrade on the reptile he replaced but he was only just a wee bit better than moderately competent. His ability to stop a ball hit from distance was laughable. His stats were in the low teen percentile. Joe Lewis is the king. Link to comment
