  1. This will be hard sell to any decent manager. Even to outsiders, clubs a shambles so who would risk their reputation, where it could end in relegation? Money talks however, Cormack needs to pay the what ever it takes to avoid going down. A manager & assistant team will be a lot less than the cost of a year in the championship.
  2. Roos should have been replaced in January. He has been shit, and I think him being so shit has crept into the back line where they don't trust him or each other. Grim stuff. New back four required in the summer, we really are a joke just now.
  3. Warnock was chipper after the game, but I'm sure internally he'll be having a word in his lug about that. 1st was a shocker. Looks disinterested since a while, and constantly arses about slowing down potential attacks. Not sure, but the keeper we had from Ajax would have been better?
  4. Honestly don't care who gets the job. It's a results business and if they deliver, then who cares. If Lennon or any other unpopular candidate came in and won Scottish Cup, then the history books will show a trophy and Aberdeen FC written down beside it. All I care about.
  5. Aye sounded like that was intentional, not making reference to a game in a few days.
  6. This. He was maybe a bit caught out and quickly regretted saying it, but no aberdeen manager can say that.
  7. Be astonished if he gets the boot tonight. He'll get the arse cheeks and then they'll have an excuse for a "tough run of fixtures" blah blah. Bottom six side and results like this pish and at the weekend prove it.
  8. Agree with that. It really made all the difference. No huge gaps between midfield and defence, looked more like a unit. Barrons energy helped too. He seemed keen to keep the pace up, even getting onto Roos when he was titting around & slowing the tempo. County weren't up to much on the day & tougher tests ahead. If he reverts to 3/5 at the back against the cheeks and even hearts, it will be end if he doesn't take any points I'd reckon.
  9. I'm no convinced that this all at Robsons door. I don't think he is the answer at all, but even going back to Goodwin, he talked a good game, but the players let him down. I think other posters on here are right, more needs to change than just punting Robson. The structure can't be right higher up? Surely a club with a much quoted 'FMB' should be trying to establish a culture which is not solely dependent on the manager. They can't be that bloody short sighted surely ?? Recruitment also seems scatter gun and potentially has caused a rift in the team? Cormack, if he has much about him, must be looking at all that as well.
  10. Aye, he looked a find, and thought we'd do well to get him on a permanent deal. As you said however, form looks to have dropped. On a wider note, are the players really worse this season? It's not one or two, it's loads of them all look miles off it. This 5 at the back has probably fucked off the players, and that rot has set in with the rest of the squad. Maybe Macdonald isn't a yes man or whatever but he should have been given a run of games, preferably in a back 4. Stubbornness will cost Robson his job. Let's see what County is like Tuesday. Adams may drive the final nail in the coffin.
  11. Yeah, the constant shelling it must be a tactic. Roos is bad for it, often landing in the opposition box ffs. Strikers no chance. Surely there is a compromise to be had from building at the back like Man City or Barca, and shelling it up like we do a lot of the time. Robson brings a lot of criticism on himself, we don't have a good enough squad to just play one way, it's always going to depend on the opposition. Let's see against Livi.
  12. I hope you're right and I'm wrong, and probably it's a gamble if you could replace him for £7m realistically. One to keep an eye on for sure, hopefully we see some more magic from him yet.
  13. What you reckon then? I said realistic, meaning I think Cormack would sanction a transfer for in excess of £5m. I'd love him to be banging in goals for us for years to come, but not happening unfortunately.
  14. His stock will increase further if he can put the filth to the sword next month. Enjoy him while he is here. Surely a realistic £5m player in today's market.
