  1. I wouldn't be surprised if the Huns have made an offer to him. They've got a fair old clear out in front of them this summer and have a lot less cash than they like to pretend. He'd be a cheap pick up and would help them with the euro home grown quota. If the Bologna interest is true then that will blow the Huns out of the water opportunity wise even if he was interested . He only needs to look at Lewis Ferguson and Aaron Hickey for proof that this would be a great move for him.
  2. Yeah Hoilett and Barron for me. Happy for the rest to move on. Barron will be gone as well though.
  3. Good luck @Snelders Snottters 89 We're all rooting for you.
  4. Everybody deserves a chance under the new regime if they are at Pittodrie for pre season training to see if they can play a part. Some will be able to take it, some won't but it's important for the new manager and the squad culture as a whole that everyone gets a fair crack of the whip.
  5. In Miovski farewell game (and for a few others as well) We'll thump them now the pressure is off and the players are relaxed. Hopefully see Boyd and Carrol in the squad and some game time for Rubi as well.
  6. Only in Scotland. Just play each other twice, it's not difficult.
  7. Apparently so. Changes my view on it. Needs sorted out if that's the case. Nobody wants a 40 game reserve season but something close to 20 would be ideal.
  8. Aye only playing each other once is a bit shit, they could at least play each other twice. Still, 9 games is better than no games for the likes of Sokler and co.
  9. That control from Hoilett from McGrath's cross field ball was lovely stuff
  10. Totally. Having a reserve team gives us extra options, keeps fringe players fit and young players available for the first team if needed/deserved. I'm not saying we should never loan anyone out, we can still do that if its the right opportunity for them but having that extra flexibility allows us to be a bit choosier about who goes out where and for how long.
  11. Aye but if we had a reserve team then the likes of Bavidge and Duncan would get regular games keeping them match fit and they would be also be available for us if needed. It would also keep Sokler and other fringe players fit and available too. I'm not sure the loan system has been that successful for us overall apart from a small number of examples so why not try a different method.
  12. We'll never know unless we give them a chance. But Bavidge could have had plenty of minutes if he'd been here this season. And we've been so short of midfielders at times Marshall would have managed to get some game time too. The main point was that rejoining the reserve league gives us extra options and prevents us from taking in folk like Phillips on loan from Crystal Palace which benefits no one. And we can still loan out one or two of our own if it's the right loan for them and the club.
  13. If Barron signs a new deal I'll be pleased we've held on to one of our better young players.
  14. Calm doon min, you'll run out of dildos at this rate. This place has lost a lot of decent posters in recent times, I would be saying the same if it was one of the other good posters.
