Spfl Referees Are Shite Thread

Broonie changing the headlines by talking about fans throwing stuff.

I mind our ball boys and boy girls had to be moved at Tynie for them throwing coins. At wee boys. And wee girls. Not a peep about it from Hearts. On a different note though Budge loves a statement about OUR fans behaviour.

Rules applicable to home fans at Tynie but NOT applied to Celtic or SEVCO:

No religious or political based songs

No standing

No flags or banners

No drums or flares

No entry when drunk

No smoking

No foul or abusive language

No spitting

The evil twins already have the media, the GFA, Police Glasgow and stewards, the referees, the agents, most players support one of them. Is there now a push to have 2 sets of rules for fans after Broonie highlighting the very real danger that a CELTIC player might get hurt.

We can only hope if a player does get hurt it's one that doesn't matter, like a Kilmarnock or Dundee player. Or a 12 year old Hearts ball girl.

But all just a distraction from the continuation of the refereeing and institutional bias in this country for over a hundred years and counting.

Agree with that. Was talking about this on another topic, how the media have rushed to cover up the scandal of the penalty decision and the damage to the stadium by talking about a supposed coin throwing incident and how motherwell complain too much. That's what actually gets the headlines because celtic dictate the agenda. As do sevco.

It's just the typical deflection tactics we've all come to accept as the norm.

We need to pull out of the league and form another, fair one.

I think it's actually even simpler, the short term solution. Just give up and ignore the league games v the bigot brothers.

Show our clubs that we really don't want this anymore.

Go to games, support your team but when one of these disgusting clubs comes to town simply shun the game. Don't go. If your club sees that financially these 2 clubs are an irrelevance then maybe something might change. As long as your club feels that they need or rely on the 2 scum clubs, nothing will ever change, no matter how perverse it may seem.

Failing to see what he did wrong?

The linesman, yes. Madden, no.

Could easily have given a foul on Murray and he didn't.

The one on Shinnie, not a foul. Calm down.

It's the way they manage the pattern of play in general that allows them to influence games.

Attacking free kick v defensive free kick when balls are played up front .

Corner kick v goal kick situations.

Defensive free kicks during jostling at corners.

Throw ins one way or another.

Booking v no booking

And that's before we get to the big high profile calls.

Penalty or no penalty.

Offside v onside

Straight red or yellow.

Loads of ways that referees can influence games.

Our fans are becoming more and more Celtic minded by the day.

I can accept refs are shite and have it in for certain teams in certain games, but the paranoia is mental at times.

Of course we are going to exaggerate it at times but mostly because of how shite/biased/corrupt some (all in the shiteness sense) are though.

When they make so many bad decisions in general, then they are going to get accused for pretty much all others also. Goes with the territory really. Make your bed type thing. Problem is when that perceived paranoia on other calls (that are actually good decisions) over shadows the overall shiteness of them.

One thing we all agree on though is that the quality of refs is just shite over all. THEY ALL are but some quite clearly have a biased leaning but in some cases it can also be down to a weakness in leaning to the majority rather than favoured team.

Some also have proven links to the arse cheeks also though.

It's something that will never change because that is Scottish football. No matter how blatantly bad (& biased sometimes) the refs are. They are still fully protected & will never be held accountable in any way.

We should never stop highlighting it though. Giving up on things like that is exactly the reason the arse cheeks dominance has won out in this & many other things in Scottish football.

Madden certainly tried his fucking hardest to get them back in the game today. Can't imagine why an ibrox season ticket holder would be so anti-aberdeen.

He's a piece of work.

He was really at it early on but gave up a bit when the game wasn't in any doubt.

Penalty not given on Shinnie was fucking scandalous. One at other end was more 50/50 IMO. South side linesman was wrong on the offside, obviously. Thought it was a tight one though.

They say the dodgy calls even themselves out over a season, but they definitely don't in our case. Every week almost we have a good goal ruled out or a blatant penalty denied while the other team kick lumps out of our players with no punishment. When was the last time you thought 'we dodged a bullet there, ref done us a few favours'? I bet if you watched videos of all our games this season and tallied up the contentious decisions 'for' and 'against' it would be something like 1 to 3 against at least.

Goal & penalty denied in this game.

No way in hell sevco or celtic wouldn't have been given a penalty for a similar one as the Ambrose on Shinnie one

He was beyond chronic. The decision to not allow Christie the advantage in 2nd half was absolutely criminal

There's too many things to list but the goal being disallowed was beyond a joke. Completely incompetent. Was funny as fuck when Logan started taking the piss out of him.

I don't think i'm being paranoid when i say that we seem to be getting fucked over by refs just about every game? It's beyond a joke, how many valid goals have we had disallowed in the last month or so, and several offside goals given against us. What was wrong with Rooneys goal tonight? Redtv don't seem to do replays so fuck knows. Also Shinnie got chopped in half near the half way line and the ref ignored it. Sick of it.
