Young fannies and wifies like McInnes.

The poor deprived cunts are the Aberdeen support equivalent of the Africans bairns drinking broon puddle water full o Guinea Worm , typhoid and dysentery cos its better than dying o thirst.

Tbf id rather have youth than nostalgia

yes before McInnes i had my best supporting times

1 cup winners cup

1 super cup

3 leagues

5 scottish cups

4 league/skoll cups (never made the ict final a few years back)

hundreds of times we would beat the old firm, make other finals

greatest bounce game was Bayern Munich at home when we won 3-2

In this case, smug is good.

If the reason you don't like mcinnes is that you are seasoned to and wanting success like that then you are in for disappointment with AFC for the rest of your years

Not at all he pointed out his best times were under McInnis mine were not.

I dont like him because he is far to negative and yes i know we have had some decent results playing that way

And yes i know someone will point out we have had x amount of attack minded players on the park but some have been used as second full backs

My opinion

Wanted him out over a year ago but I'm a realist.....he ain't getting fired any time soon.

However once he gets his mitts on the training ground in the summer.....there will be no new contract offer unless we are within 3 points of second place at Xmas. Or  wins us the Scottish Cup this season.....unlikely on present form. I suspect there will be a parting of ways next summer.

It’ll be interesting to see/hear what the new investors coming in want in a manager. In Crottys interview it sounds like there’s a decent ambitious plan brewing at the club, will DM be the man they want to implement it?

The rot was starting to creep in last season.

I cannot find my original post early this season whereby I predicted that we would be lucky to finish 5th or 6th.

The importance of cup semi cannot be over emphasized. Lose it and can seriously see us finishing 6th. That coupled with losing at least a couple of key players will continue the rot.

DM has done very well previously but now is the time for change to reverse the momentum prior to moving to the new stadium.

Time has caught up with DM and his approach to management. In the Sunday Times, he is quoted as saying, "We have been to tougher venues ... and managed to see out the victory once we've gone in front, and that's the disappointing thing". He's never disappointed by the eye-bleedingly, low quality play produced or, tellingly, by our failure to go on and completely finish off opponents. No, he can only ever talk about seeing out or managing games. Unfortunately his stubbornness means we wont see changes anytime soon.

Correct.

He said after the 1-1 v livi (livi equalised just before ht) that he was going to tell the players at ht that one goal might be enough.

Piss poor attitude to a home game v one of the poorer sides.

We should be looking to dominate those types of games after taking the lead not sitting in and hoofing it up to Cosgrove.

His stock has been falling for sometime so I think its unlikely he'll get a new contract but I'd rather he went before that and not be subjected to 2 transfer windows under him and another season of eye bleeding negative football.

We've hit a sticky patch where we've done well against the ugly sisters but massively underperformed against everyone else. The trouncing Hamilton got yesterday just sums up what an absolute shocker of a result that was against them a few weeks ago.

McInnes can still make this his most successful season though. We can beat Celtic in the SC they are not playing particularly well under Lennon and have been riding their luck in almost every game. A SC win and 3rd place is still well within our grasp. There is not a single person on here who wouldn't have snapped your hand off for that if offered at the start of the season.

But we need to up our game big time and now. This is the time of the season when it really matters.

Yeah Celtic game is enormous... maybe out best chance ever to beat them.  However, the football is horrendous to watch right now - it's fantastic to see us put up a fight against the Glasgow teams - certainly not complaining about that.  However, that's all we've got.  Our football is predictable, tired, defensive and one dimensional.  We actually managed to get 'out Hearts' by Hearts yesterday... and I wouldn't be confident of beating them in the Scottish Cup final!  Hate to say it, but Levein and McInnes are symptomic of the overall malaise in Scottish football.  Neither would, or ever will amount to much outwith the SPFL.

There hasn't been any team in the league playing particularly sparkling football in recent weeks. But I take your point we've been turgid and predictable and struggle to break teams down.

I'm not even convinced Hearts will beat Inverness. At Hampden I'd be confident of beating them if we get past Celtic. If we can beat both Celtic and Sevco at Hampden in the same season there's no reason we couldn't beat Hearts there as well.

Our whole season virtually rests on the SC semi. Lose that and we go into the post split fighting for a european spot that we really should have virtually secured already. If we lose the semi and finish 5th or 6th and out of the euro spots then for me that is the time for a proper discussion on the managers suitability going forward.

Are we back to wanting McInnes out again? Asking for myself

Modern football mangers have time lines and I feel that McIness time has past, he’s did well in his time here and will be remembered fondly here. I do believe the 2016-17 season after reaching both finals, beating the Huns down there for the first time in years and smashing a few teams for 7 was the time he should have went his peak was there! He’s just went through the motions now.

Is there anyone else out there to take us the next level? For every McNeil there is a Fergie, but could also be a Porterfield to every Fergie

I'm disappointed that a Celtic side poorer than it was the last two seasons, has run away with the league this season. I hate to say it, but given we were only nine points away last season, this one may well go down in history as one where we really could have pushed them all the way. If only our home form wasn't so disappointing, for instance.

As for the semi-final, I ask myself... surely this Celtic side has to lose sometime? Surely three trebles in a row for an ordinary Celtic side is a bridge too far? I don't know how I'd feel if we bottle it again against them, then Hearts burst their bubble in the final...
