tightbreeks
Maybe derek was copying the Brazil tactics from the 1970 world Cup final. Where tostao hung back in the first half and surveyed the scene in front of him and waited till half time. Then in the second half started bursting forward and ended up destroying Italy in the second half. Doubt it though, and going down to ten men put paid to that. Link to comment
Ernie McCracken
Changing the manager has done nothing in the past 35 years for all non old firm teams. Change the owners for people who can see the flaws in Scottish football. 3 Link to comment
JazzaBett
His tactics were wrong. His recruitment in summer/January was sh#te. But at least he gave two f#cks and did what we all did to the Celtic fans.I’d only get rid of him if there was someone better to take his place. Names please, as I wouldn’t swap him for Lennon, Stinkinbottom or some no mark. 1 1 Link to comment
King Street Loon
There needs to be a serious Boardroom discussion with McInnes as soon as possible. He needs a boot up the hole. If the Board don't (yet) have the appetite to give him his jotters at this stage, he needs to be left understanding in no uncertain terms that another transfer window like the last couple will see him being handed his jotters before too long. Our capitulation today (and to the Huns for second place in the league) is down to shite transfer windows and crap signings. McInnes needs telt - get the job done properly or fuck off. Enough of these gutless performances sitting in like today. Showed far too much respect to a shite Celtic team, yet again. Today was a fucking disgrace.Spot on. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
We’ve been suffering all year from last summers abortion of a transfer window. Yesterday was the crescendo. It’s amazing how McInnes has got away so lightly with last summer. Horrendous signings on big money... I dread to think how much we were paying Wilson, but he may well be Aberdeen’s highest paid player of all time.... and then there was the forrester transfer fee! 200k, or whatever it was, just thrown away. Zero return. Absolutely criminal for a club of our size.Where were Forrester, Gleeson & Wilson when we needed them yesterday? Old mate Tansey wasn’t last summer, but we’re still paying the difference in his wages! Could have done with an experienced midfielder yesterday! Shocking mismanagement. 2 Link to comment

Torry Tosser
Time for a new man, with new ideas.Team is too predictable under him, sell by date has passed and Milne is so engrossed in his counting house counting his pennies he canna see it. Link to comment
Dynamo
He's going nowhere - if he doesn't want to go that is. He's had too many poor transfer windows in succession. This summer is vital. Link to comment

StandFree1982
meh. It will be the same shit, different manager. The whole of Scottish Football needs freshened up, not just Aberdeen. Celtic winning a Treble Treble is an embarrassment for Scottish Football, and yet the SFA seem to be doing everything in their power to let it happen. The biggest issue though, is football in Europe as a whole. It's fucked from the top down, and Scotland aren't going to deviate from the norm of ensuring that their bigger teams flourish at the expense of everyone else. Real football is dead lads, and it has been for a long long time now. Enjoy the next 20 years of elitist, commercial bullshit whilst the rest of the sides pick up the meatless scraps. Link to comment

The problem is more that he's in his last year of his contract after this summer. There is going to be constant speculation about new contract and the board I think will not be willing to give him one. I agree the recruitment needs to be better, somehow. Maybe we will fluke a couple of good signings for once. Link to comment

minijc
It's not a surprise that we turn to shit when the focus came off the team and was put on to Kingsford, it'll only get worse and sadly with McInnes as the poster boy for the stadium he's here until some English lot want him. Link to comment
For Fecks Sake
Change the owners for people who can see the flaws in Scottish football.Aye cause there is a que of mega rich individuals waiting for the opportunity and chance to invest in a Scottish Football Team outwith the Tims and Huns. Milne would be out of Pittodrie faster than Barton tries to leave a car park following a confrontation with an opposition manager if anyone was willing to take AFC off his hands. Face up to facts that Milne is still running the club because no other fucker wants to put up the cash to take it off him. 1 Link to comment
Tord31
I'm not as convinced as some others that he wont consider walking away. Big decision for him and his agent to allow us for the very first time since he took over run the contract into a situation where we could relatively easily afford to get rid of him. Link to comment

If he walks away now, he'll not get anything better than another a SPFL club. Essentially back to square one for his career. He's stuck here until he can win something else, or somehow attract the attention of another English club.... He'll always have a job here as long as Milne is in charge. Link to comment
BWG
I think 2 players and the management team being telt to take their faces for a shite in one game is an indication it's time to freshen things up. Let's not forget that for all the plaudits McInnes gets, he's been no more successful than Aitken and his big money (relative term) signings have worked out about the same as well. Link to comment

the_shrimp
That's the season over - it's all Derek's fault for fucking up the past couple of transfer windows and his crap predictable tactics. Shelf life is so far past it stinks. Link to comment
Tord31
Are you aware exactly how much we are paying him??No idea. I'd speculate as much as £10k/week. I'd be fairly sure anyone quoting figures beyond that are telling porkies. It doesnt matter how much we pay. The payoff would be his entire contract and if we find ourselves in December then its not a great deal especially if we were eyeing up a manager who was out of work (eg no compensation) and willing to work with Derek's backroom team for first few months 1 Link to comment
Poodler
Mini knows what we're paying him Probably nobody else in Scotland who would come in and do a better job (SC wouldn't come up here) Link to comment
BWG
See there's a police probe into the sectarian chanting our manager was subjected to. Fuck me. If McInnes has such a problem with being called a sad orange bastard then he should maybe use Jimmy's sunbed a bit less often. Link to comment

He must have been called that a thousand times. Why react, get sent off and talk about it to the press this time? Frustration spilling over or deflecting attention a bit from the result?
