The Mckenna Dilemma

Recommended Posts

Milne has suddenly become the Scottish Daniel Levy

Bit off topic, BUT now you mention it: Football "fans" doon sooth are going mental on Twitter over Spurs' lack of activity for a year, in spite of the blindingly obvious evidence right in front of their eyes: some teams don't NEED to make signings.

If you're at the top end of the league, still playing in the CL, paying millions to your current players, have a proven youth system bringing players through, why would you spunk a load of your budget on someone else's rejects?

The transfer window has been around for such a long time, that clubs have got better at using it is all.

Any out of contract players we’d take in?

I was wondering too. But, any that we'd WANT or NEED? I can't think of anyone let go recently that would be worth it.

There's exceptions every window, but by and large, a top division, top six, league challenger like ourselves would be super lucky to find someone worthwhile.

*scans Transfermarkt*

Well there sort of was a mention as DM says we are short in defence tomorrow ie they are both injured.

He's already said McKenna is back for the Queens game and Devlin next week too.

Let's see what he's saying on Tuesday.

Hoban looks an able deputy

Mind when Devlin was almost fit for the league cup final?

We can hopefully put the rumour that Devlin is out for season to bed following the transfer window. I had the fear that rumour was true and we were keeping it hush while negotiating for Shaughnessy

Devlin's foot injury has taken longer to heal than he hoped. He hopes to be back over the next couple of weeks but is not being rushed back to ensure it has healed completely.

He is very frustrated by the injury and even went to a specialist in London to see if there was anything else that could be done to speed up recovery.

He is loving his time at Aberdeen and is looking forward to being back asap.

Don't believe what he says about Devlin, it seems to go on and on.

Going by the AFC twitter account not one mention of McKenna or Devlin by McInnes again today.

Pathetic.

Must have played about 5 games together, complete piss take.

What a state to get in.

How on earth is it a piss take?

Do you think McKenna has wanted to pick up two hamstring injuries.

Do you think Devlin has wanted to pick up the injuries and suspension he has this season?

Away and dry your bedsheets or take some photos of the builders at the training centre.
