To be registered on the site, you need to follow a link which is emailed to you. ie You register, an email is sent to you, you click on a link on the email to be approved. It's essentially to stop spam. The approved email address was the same as one listed on a post from 2014 on the fetish site. So unless the OP somehow managed to gain access to that email address, it's completely legit. Link to comment
