Where Are They Now

McKenna - Captained Forest today 1-1 with Reading

Shinnie - On losing Derby side again. Got his standard booking too. Derby have been absolutely shite since Rooney took over.

Cosgrove - came on as a sub for Birmingham. Lost 3-0 at home to Bristol

Main - started for Shrewsbury in a 1-1 draw. Didn't score.

Stockley started the game Vs Shrewsbury. Didn't score either!

Fraser - Started for Newcastle yesterday.

Anderson - lost to Livingston. Useless cunt.

No wins for any of the above ex (or soon to be in Anderson's case) Dons!

Haven't been hearing much clammer for Anderson in recent weeks. 2 goals and everyone thinks he's the next Joey Harper.

James Wilson started and won a lower division trophy today though.

Possibly the only ex Don who had a good day.

Imagine going from Man U to Aberdeen then English League 2!

Usual performance from James today.

Some really good mazy runs followed by a sclaffed finish on every occasion. Really needs to learn how to shoot one of these days.

Played OK in the main though. Up front as centre forward.

Don't remember him being that good in the QotS semi either.

None of us remember that - because we were watching McNamara put in one of the worst performances of his entire footballing career and then go jogging straight down the tunnel once substituted.

A bit harsh, there was one poor finish, but forced two decent saves from the keeper, one of which was a shot from outside the box

Cant believe I spent an afternoon on here arguing with someone about whether Cosgrove or Dykes are better when they are both clearly shite and can't get games for shite teams

Dykesy has been appearing fairly regularly for the QPhuns, but hasn't scored since 27/11

McLean was generally a good player for us but ever think he should have done a lot better? Used to go missing a hoorin amount

I always thought he started the season slowly then got better as the months went on.

But when McLean was on form he made the whole team better.  Was definitely under appreciated a lot of the time.

Under appreciated 100%. All the folk that used to moan about him every week absolutely champion him nowadays as well. Truth is he was somewhere in between while in a red shirt, most of the time.

In some regards I think we missed McLean more than any of the players we lost along the way.

When he left we lost the capability to keep possession and play through the lines. He took responsibility for getting the ball off the defence and getting play started and had the passing range to link play wide and with the attack.

Everything went markedly downhill from a technical perspective once he left and we became really basic and predictable really quickly.

Very true. In fact didn't we finish 2nd every single season he was in midfield? 3rd the season before and 4th the 2 after he left.

Not atypical of a McInnes signing though.  Was bought (I think) as a number 10, certainly to bring a goal threat from midfield.  Ended up deep deep deep in our own half holding Jacks hand taking the ball off him and playing the ball forward to our now static front line.  A more than decent round peg in an unnecessarily square hole in my opinion.

Round peg in a square hole but he still plays that role for Norwich and Scotland? Far better in the deep lying position in my opinion. Especially when Christie was in the 10.... what a luxury
