  1. Hes now in the same position as Langfield. Opposition know his weaknesses and openly playing on them.
  2. Very true. at Killie. Id forgotton about that.
  3. Better comparison was the Lewis Sinclair one referenced earlier (and admittedly in real time, not a shoot out). Lewis was huge, a real presence. You were as confident as you could be that he'd save it.
  4. Modern day Steve Archibald But without the new stand to show for it.
  5. I’m sure they like the fluidity of non-VAR football but I wonder if Southampton fans are quite so supportive of its absence at the moment. (the off-side, it was never ever a foul)
  6. Bonus points for keeping some them out of it as well.
  7. As others have said though, we’ve deliberately tried to look to “a class above” (generous I know) to give us a chance in higher level matches like Saturdays. Thats left us short in base level games, the ones we all describe as “should be winning.” You can argue the toss if we’re losing those games because our class-aboves are nothing of the sort, or simply if they are ill equipped for that type of game. Gartenmans a good example. For me it’s a bit of both. I like that we’ve moved away from football luminaries like May and Main and are looking to Duk, Polvara, Sokler and of course Miovski. But unquestionably we’ve lacked ‘dig’ as a result. The back 5 killed us. We all agree on that. Shinnie and Barron haven’t quite worked meaning McGrath and Clarkson have been dragged into less attractive roles. And zero creativity has isolated our front 3, two of whom were on the bench. See back 5 comment for details. In summary, balance dear boy, balance!
  8. Never recovered from Runo Guttuso in my opinion
  9. He picked the side? The side that everyone acknowledged we had absolutely no alternative to? That side?
  10. Im delighted to hear it. Im just acknowledging its a dangerous game to play for a week or two.
  11. Who are you callin cunt you facking cunt Brilliant
  12. Interesting twist (although outcome is the same) on the above. The arse cheek one referred to was Dessers on Lagerbielke at Mordor in September. It is more of a foul - the infamous planted foot - whereas in ours Kyogo does toe the ball from the side first. Ref that day, who goes to the monitor to absolutely check? One Don Robertson.
  13. Always reminds me of the Harry Redknapp story, when a 12m striker asked him for a goal bonus. What the fuck do you think the 12m for?
