  1. Never understand why they announce the candidates for player, manager and especially goal of the season before the season has actually ended. Someone could score a world class goal in the next 4 games that wins the Puskas Award for best goal in the world this year but not get goal of the season because they didn't score it before the end of April. Pointless!!
  2. Betweem 15th December 84 and 23rd February 85 the dons played 10 league games and only won 4. Should Fergie have been sacked?
  3. His overall win percentage at Elfsborg since 2018 (including challenging for the league) is 46.8%, so why would that dropping a few percentage for a run of 7 or 8 games be sackable?
  4. Nobody in their right mind would be expecting him to challenge for titles at Aberdeen, so for us anything 40% or better isn't actually too bad. Obviously we'd all want better, but considering we've only had 5 managers in our history with over 50% win percentages then based on where we are as a club just now anything in the 40's isn't a bad platform to build on.
  5. 40% win rate with us would put up there with our most successful 'permanent' managers in the past 30 years (only McInnes would have a significantly higher win percentage).
  6. The same argument is brought up every time this thread gets bumped. You really wouldn't have had to read every single page on this forum.
  7. Goes in one ear and out the other for some posters on here. Understand some people want to stay at Pittodrie for sentimental reasons but facts are its never going to happen.
  8. Pittodrie is a crumbling wreck. Tinkering won't make any difference. Its not a long term solution. The only option is to move and it will happen eventually, like everyone else though i don't see it being anytime soon.
  9. Hearts spent £20 million on one stand 4 years ago when construction prices weren't as expensive. We'd no doubt be looking at around £100 million now to renovate Pittodrie into a soulless identikit lego stadium that would likely be a significantly lower capacity stadium than it is now. Renovating Pittodrie will never be an option.
  10. Won 26 and drawn 14 out of 55 against bottom 6 sides over the same period. Still means 15 losses against the lesser sides in 3 years which can definitely still be improved on.
  11. Something that Jimmy really needs to find an improvement on for next season... our form against 'top 6' sides. Over the past 3 seasons we've played 56 games against teams that have ended up in the top 6 in each particular seasons, and only won 10 of them (17% win ratio). Absolutely pathetic
  12. It goes in one ear and out the other with some people. Hearts were more than £20 million to redevelop one stand and that was 4 years ago before prices of materials went through the roof. To redevelop each stand at Pittodrie into something modern and without significantly reducing capacity i'd be surprised if we were under £100 million. We also wouldn't have the sale of the land Pittodrie is on to help fund it.
  13. So did i... nose was right up against the bumhole during the 69.
  14. "What's worse is that the Dons' last three failed permanent managers have been Scottish." Don't disagree though that its a good article.
  15. Good article, although at one point near the end it claims Jim Goodwin is Scottish.
