Fucking hell Tup! I'm buckled! But I dnna live in fucking Wick! That fact must crease you every day!

Let's no bother dueling the road to wick - no cunt lives there...

The only duelling that gets done on that road is like on the old Dukes of Hazzard, two maniacs going for it, swerving and smashing into the side of each other in old Montegos and Maestros to see who has the best scrapper worth less than

The old wifies who maintain a steady 40 the whole way up have a lot to answer for. Fuckin coos.

What you must try and do is scare them off the road, tailgate bigtime, fist shaking, flashing lights, they soon pull over for some welcome respite in the utterly weird La Mirage in Helmsdale.

The worst one is getting off the Orkney ferry as a foot passenger. Takes 10 mins to get to your car and then you have to get past the slow cunts before you hit the A9. It's a 30 minute window or you are stuck behind a bunch of bird watchers. Absolute wanks.

Just go for a couple of pints in Popeye's first next time.

It's not. Not the Shetland Isles, but just finished a 4 and a half year stint on Tiree. One policeman, two pubs, and if he was on a dayshift Friday or Saturday, then it was wacky races time come one o'clock. To be fair, there wasn't much to hit in terms of things apart from cows, sheep or fences cause no fucker walks anywhere. If you hit a cow, it was

They forgot to mention that the downside of living in such a remote and weird location is the ritualised satanic child abuse which takes place hush, hush, but is celebrated once a year in the Up Helly Aa festival which attracts huge crowds.

Plus their accents, sickening lilt to it.

You do talk utter pish at times.

Residents in the islands are the happiest, most satisfied and least anxious in the UK.The first annual results of David Cameron's so-called happiness index were released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Tuesday.

Participants were asked how worthwhile they found their activities, their level of life satisfaction, how happy they are and how anxious they are.

The Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland scored the best in each category.

When asked how worthwhile their lives are, residents scored an average of 8.2 out of ten. When asked how happy they are, the average is eight out of ten. Life satisfaction was an average of 8.1.

Anxiety levels are low among the islands, with an average score of 2.5 out of ten.

The figures come from the first Integrated Household Survey of 200,000 people aged 16 and over between April 2011 and March 2012.

It was conducted as part of the Prime Minister's initiative, launched in 2010, to assess the wellbeing of the nation alongside economic data like GDP.

Glenn Everett, ONS programme director for the Measuring National Well-being Programme, said: "By examining and analysing both objective statistics as well as subjective information, a more complete picture of national wellbeing can be formed.

"Understanding people's views of wellbeing is an important addition to existing official statistics and has potential uses in the policy making process and to aid other decision making."

Mr Cameron has described the programme to measure the UK's sense of well-being as crucial to finding out what the Government can do to "really improve lives".

The ONS work has been given a budget of

TWO Scottish islands have been voted in the top ten most popular in Europe.

• Orkney’s Mainland and Skye have been voted among Europe’s top 10 most popular islands

• Mainland came fifth ahead of Gozo in Malta and Greek island Zakynthos

• Skye came in ninth ahead of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands

Orkney’s Mainland has came fifth in the poll ahead of Mediterranean isles Gozo in Malta and the Greek island Zakynthos, as well as Jersey in the Channel Islands.

Skye also made the top ten, coming ninth ahead of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.

In the UK top ten, five Scottish islands feature, with Orkney’s Mainland winning. Skye, Mull, Lewis and Harris and Arran also feature.

The 2013 Travellers’ Choice Islands Awards was carried out by TripAdvisor based on thousands of reviews by the website’s users.

Emma Shaw from the company said: “It’s great to see so many Scottish islands recognised by travellers, proving that islands don’t have to offer exotic sunshine.”

Of Mainland island in Orkney, Tripadvisor states: “The aptly named Mainland is the main island of Orkney, a collection of Scottish islands with serious Viking cred.

“On West Mainland you’ll find the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, prehistoric ruins that include a chambered tomb, stone ceremonial circles, and Skara Brae, a well-preserved Neolithic village.

“Cap off your visit with a hoppy glug from the Orkney Brewery. Over on the East side, marvel at a collapsed sea cave known as The Gloup, take a provincial stroll through St. Mary’s Village or just dip your toes in at Mill Sands or Dingieshowe Beach.

Of the Isle of Skye, it states: “The landscape is dramatic—even a bit moody, with the Cuillin Range in the background—but outdoorsy kids will have a blast on the Isle of Skye.

“Plenty of water sports are available, and you’ll also find great hiking and even pony rides. Portree, the largest town, makes a great base for exploring this striking island.”

Mike Cantlay, Chairman of VisitScotland, said: “For two Scottish destinations to feature in Europe’s top-ten islands is fantastic recognition for the unique beauty and eternal appeal of Scotland’s islands.

“It is particularly apt in the Year of Natural Scotland, something which celebrates our country’s outstanding natural beauty.”

My wife visited Orkney last year on business and said the hotel was one of the best she's ever been to in terms of cleanliness, comfort and service. The pace of life there was integral to the experience and she loved it, and got lucky with some beautiful weather.

When I first read that I thought the final word was going to be 'local'
