Nope he hasn't actually. Same position, different role.

Arguably been doing a better job in the same position .

May runs around a lot and doesn't score. Stewart doesn't run around a lot and scores. We'll play him at left back.

True but then since May has started playing up front with Cosgrove the team have scored more goals. Must have scored 2 at least every time they've played together? Could be wrong.

Well he's been doing it for Kilmarnock pretty well

But Killie have been playing a style to suit a fat lazy bastard up front for ages......

I've said it before, but Stewart is a "luxury player" that needs a team to be moulded around him.  Smaller teams like Dundee and Killie are willing to do this.

Aberdeen do not adapt to incorporate players, players are expected to fit into Aberdeen.  Nothing wrong with that, but given the current Aberdeen setup doesn't suit G-Stew, I am not sure how we will effectively deploy him.  We tried once already and it didn't work.

Fit and raring to go though SheepieBaaBaa son - we can surely all agree he was onto a game towards the tail end of last season.

Anyway here - enough doubt; chuck blind positivity being him if you could - you're impacting tshirt sale.

It sounds like we've agreed a deal with Stewart on a 3 year deal. It is now between us and Birmingham agreeing a fee.

Happy to sign Stewart but this is definitely a reason that we should not pay through the nose for him.

DM would have to severly change his spots to consider using Stewart in our biggest games. That's a reality unfortunately.

Signing players from our closest rivals? Sounds like a conspiracy to me!

Fuck giving them anything other than squaring up Stewart's salary for the remainder of the season.

In the Daily Retard most likely. But they're now running with Sunderland having also entered the "race" to sign him up

Agree with you Tord. Just can't see how he would fit into our team unless McInnes changes the team set up and can't see that happening.

Pay up his contract but would not be looking to offer any additional cash.

Or perhaps the story/stories are some no mark reporter taking a punt on us/Sunderland being interested on the basis that he was with us before/Sunderland have a Scottish manager in order to fill column inches. Nothing will happen regarding us signing anyone until the team are back from Dubai and if our usual way of conducting business in transfer windows still applies, probably nothing until the very last minute....

Stewart is a good player, although I don't think McInnes will use him in his most effective position. He needs to be playing up top through the middle.

My fear is he'll be punted out wide, centre midfield or on the subs bench. No different to his first spell with us.

Why is it McInnes that is fucking about?

Do you think it’s him that decides how much money to offer clubs for their players?

Hope Sunderland get promoted this season. Atleast then they won’t be shopping in the January sales with us if they are trying to get back into the EPL!

But how is it McInnes who is fucking about?  The two clubs are presumably negotiating a fee for him.  McInnes will have very little if any input into that.

Milne is a tight assed prick, he will piss around as usual, Mcinnes will end up signing jack shit. Shinnie may go, McKenna and GMS Meanwhile while Milne contemplates his next bargain move Stewart and the rest will be long gone.
