A pity we never got to play them in the 1984 ECWC final.

Two great teams in their prime.

Bloody Porto put paid to that.

That’s the result that haunts me more than any. Even Ibrox 91 pales in comparison for me. Bloody Porto. Bloody fog.

Imagine us actually being in for a Juventus player or the likes these days and nae your Chidi "will never see the first team" Nwakali types, an actual first team player.

Money has completely fucked this sport.

Yip still pisses me off now when I think of that game.

We could also have played that Juve side in the Super Cup Final in 83 but they surprisingly lost the European Cup final to Hamburg.

Would loved to have seen Fergie's team play Juve they had some team. Platini, Boniek, Rossi, Tardelli, Gentile, Scirea and Cabrini all played for them. Back in the good old days when clubs were only allowed two foreign players. Bliss.

I know. But both were long past their prime Cannigia starred for Argentina in 1990 I think Dundee signed him about a decade later. He was still bloody good though.

If Fergie has managed to get the Boniek signing over the line we would have been signing one of the best players in the world bang in his prime. As I mentioned earlier probably the equivalent of Aberdeen signing Eden Hazard or Antoine Griezmann today.

Look at the goals this guy scored at the highest level. He makes Gazza and Brian Laudrup look like fucking Dougie Imrie.

Cracking goals in there and loads of them.

Van Basten like.

What’s the story behind that photo @Millertime? Every time I see it I think it looks like it would have been in a newspaper article. Don’t think I was around on this when that photo first appeared.

“They gave me a list of about seven or eight flats and I went around taking photos of these places and the quality of the area these flats were in compared to mine was night and day. Even though I stay there I’ll be open about it, my area is terrible.”

Was anyone surprised by this bit?

“It appears that Mr Miller may have been informed by the sales office that the house would be in band C. This was not based on any information provided by my staff.

I obviously had to say that!

And the article is infactual, it didn't stay at an E

I went to the courts armed with a portfolio of evidence and got it reduced to a D

Yep and I got a call from the saleswoman that night

"Retract that immediately"

No, I said

To which she replied "my brother is a very powerful lawyer and you're being a very silly boy"

Never did hear anything back

Was sad though, I thought her and me were pals

The sales staff were still there for months after I moved in. My train home meant I could pop in every day to question her about things for the last 10 mins of her days
