Ke1t
Glass' Memphis losing 3-1 to the Riverhounds, with Memphis having 65% possession. Stephen 'Half-A-Plan' Glass sticking stubbornly to his possession-based, no penetration soccerball, where holding onto the ball is everything while doing anything with it is nothing. Very reminiscent of one of our previous managers. How did it go? His name was Porterfield Stephen Glass He had 11 men He marched them up to the halfway line Then he marched them back again. Will be interesting to see if his one and only tactic ever starts to pay off. I suspect he's going to need a Ronaldo/Messi sort up front who can literally dribble the ball 50-60 yards and finish the move himself, while his ten team mates at the other end of the pitch applaud politely. It’s drifting into football more and more, Pep did it with his fantastic Barcelona team and now everyone thinks just keeping the ball is the way forward and nicking a goal will win you a game. Nae fucking entertainment, bring back attacking football. And Durrant style tackles. Link to comment
