The golf club at my bit has a "social membership" where you pay them just to be able to have a drink in the clubhouse. You don't even get to play golf. Surely one of the strangest things a human can do?

Cheaper booze and think you have to be a member to get in (or be signed in by a member). Think the social membership at Cullen was a tenner. Small price to pay for a quid off a pint.

 

Wouldn't be the greatest company at the bar right enough sitting with golfers.

No different to joining any social club to be fair. Cheap drink and cheap food.
