I went to see a singer called Jesuton last weekend.  A friend of a friend.  Rather nice and a lovely lady too.  Had a wee chat with her afterwards.  Londoner living in Rio for 6 years.  She did a cover of Unfinished Sympathy and Tears For Fears - Shout.   Free entry too.   Bonus.

Lollapalooza this year there are only 3 acts that I would realistically get excited about seeing and lo.....  They are all playing on the same day...  Hahaha.  Fucking reeeeesult.  Gonna gets me a day ticket.  Pearl Jam headlining with David Byrne a little further down the bill and the fantastic The National too.     Icing on the cake is Jesuton is playing early afternoon too.   Gonna go see my new pal and throw my skiddy pants at her.

Oh and Mr Stephen Patrick Morrissey will be in town in April too.

And so it was........... :trophy:

TC was creaming at the seams when he saw it as its on his bday. He's a big fan.

I'll be getting tickets as well but I hope Marr tours next year as well even if just Royal Albert for a one off.

Missus got tickets to 'Bowie Experience' on 24th November at Tivoli. She's massive Bowie fan, meh from me but I'll go and get pissed for the night and if it's decent then bonus.

For years Bruce Springsteen was the best live act I'd ever seen that changed a couple of weeks back when I saw Run The jewels, incredible performance from them and the two support acts were superb too, I left there feeling energised and thinking nothing would top that but on the sunday I went to Arcade Fire and they blew them out the water, the stage set up and performance was spectacular, set list was perfect and the interaction by coming in to the crowd just topped the show off, extremely chuffed to have seen both perform over the same weekend.

Went to Squeeze at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Lot of grey hair and false teeth in the audience. Top class back catalogue have the old popsters and Tilbrook's voice is still quality after all those years.

Its a quirky one you have to admit. Joey barton in the vid adds to the allure in a strange way also.

The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen

Mean home sweet home to me

The Northern Lights of Aberdeen

Are what I long to see

I've been a wanderer all of my life

And many a sight I've seen

God speed the day when l'm on my way

To my home in Aberdeen!!

His first one, Holy Mountain grew on me - the other one I've heard is nae great.

I'm looking forward to seeing Liam rather than Noel as things stand.

I suppose with Noel you know what you're going to get especially if you've seen him before where as with Liam and the new band the show could be anything, wasn't impressed with the oasis stuff he done for the BBC the other night where as his own new tunes sounded decent.

Agreed about the BBC session, some of the old songs sounded flat. Needs the amps up to 11 and a bit more distortion and swagger

I will say though, I've listened to AYW about 10 times and there is actually a few good songs on there. It's also got me back into Lennon solo albums

Noel's new songs are the poorest he's done. He did need to change his formula though

Liam's voice/singing is horrific nowadays (like he's on the bog, constipated, trying to squeeze out a fat one)

I'd go see him if it sounded like it did on DM.

His voice seems to be very hit and miss. Heard a few where he sounded ok but he was struggling on that BBC performance. Sure they dropped Rockin chair from live sets 20 plus years ago because he couldn't sing it live then so fuck knows what possesed him to try it now.

Maine road was probably when his voice, and hair, was it's peak. Steadily downhil since then.

An amazing one next year in Aberdeen.

Iron Maiden supported by Killswitch Engage.

Maiden were one of my favourite bands as a 10 year old getting into metal, and Killswitch are still one of my favourite bands.

Cannot bloody wait.
