The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen

Mean home sweet home to me

The Northern Lights of Aberdeen

Are what I long to see

I've been a wanderer all of my life

And many a sight I've seen

God speed the day when l'm on my way

To my home in Aberdeen!!

I watched A Brand New Testament on Amazon Prime.

A Belgian subtitled film, God lives in a flat in Brussels and he's a dick.

His daughter escapes and decides to write a new testament.

It was okay, a solid 6-7 out of 10.

Never thought of The Shining as a horror as such . Looking forward to watching the docu on it.

Why not? Is it because its not done in a traditional horror style? Quite interesting that folk might not think that despite the fact there’s creepy twin ghosts, floods of blood, a crazy axe murderer, a screaming woman a creepy chase scene and a hot bird that turns mouldyand putrid.

I thought about this Chewie and I think its because all the characters are so good. Most horror films have such shallow performances but The Shining Ive watched countess times just to watch Nicholson et al. Visually it's brilliant and the sound is top notch as well.

So , no , not a horror movie to me.

Glass.

Started off well enough, devolved into dullness and eventually played out the final act in a way I just found preposterous - but then I'm not into super hero/villain comics. If there is more to come I'll give it a miss.

Solo - decent enough for a Friday night. Think it didn’t do well at the cinema but it was better than the last proper Star Wars film. 7/10

Pretty good answer, I suppose it’s more a horror thriller. Still to watch @Dad documentary about it. The woman character in it really grates though, even before becoming a screaming mess

I watched it in the cinema and the other day at home, it’s a bit bland really, Chewie (obviously) and Childish Gambino being the only real highlights. Disney is obviously trying to do similar to the Marvel movies where they do a stand alone film and hope to run sequels to that particular story rather than just stick to original Star Wars...........

Will they fight the burds? Also assuming Ramis would be a ghost?

Fuck... Ramis appearing as a ghost would be genius.

Get Hollywood on the phone!

Is the latest Jason Bourne film any good? Got it on my Netflix list, to hammer through some time.

The Last Laugh, okay but not many laughs considering Chevy Chase is in it - 6/10

Close, Noomi Rapace as a bodyguard and decent enough - 7/10

I think it's not quite as good as previous ones but still watchable enough. I just feel it's kinda going round in circles now rather than progressing.

It was okay, but just think they’re stuck in a rut with him now. Don’t see why they don’t have him do jobs for the government again as an honest agent. Also my wife’s friend worked on that film too, that’s my new claim to fame. He also teaches lightsaber classes...........

I would guess yes.

There is definitely no flymo type threat from a dude who gives lightsaber classes.

History of Violence is a good shout, they tweaked it slightly from the comic, a nice job from Cronenburg though.

Never seen Bone Tomahawk, looks a decent cast though, will try and find it to watch ;)
