#1617110 Europa League 18/19

'neilthedon' on the Burnley forum is an embarrassment.

Not the glamorous or easy draw we would've liked but with a big slice of luck we could sneak it. Our group/pot during the draw was ridiculous, all the other groups had much poorer seeded teams.

I think a lot of people will be holding off until all the uncertainty has been cleared up regarding the manager.

I renewed in May, but all this shite has sort of made me wish I held off.

If the manager goes I can see a slip back into the mediocrity of old.

You were happy to renew in May but if you knew we would be losing our manager that would've stopped you? Are you going to be a Sunderland fan instead if he goes?

I get your point that this uncertainty is putting a dampener on things but The Dons will still be around after the current crop of players and management are long gone. If the right appointment is made when DM finally goes we will be ok. That is a big 'if' though going on our recent history!

#1428277 Ash Taylor

Posted by hopeisimportant on 02 June 2017 - 12:55 PM

We should have trusted in Joe Shaughnessy.

Developed into a very capable and better option than Gash Taylor.

Even been picked in the SPFL team of the year.

Joe Shaughnessy is pish - a fair bit worse than Taylor I'd say.

Taylor looked the part against the wee teams but under a bit of pressure he wasn't quite up to it. Unfortunately I think we'll get the same level of player in to replace him.

This is bullshit for those of us with non-padded RDR seats. I am being forced to now pay extra for my seat as they are turning it into the most expensive place in the stadium or move...with no comparable options available. I think 90% of the seats in the RDR are ST holders and AFC are taking advantage of the fact folk have sat there for years, won't want to move so will end up paying extra. Poor show.

It has worked out pretty well over the past few years when we have signed Caley's best player. Welcome Greg.

#1372026 What Scottish Islands Have You Been To, And Why?

Posted by hopeisimportant on 04 January 2017 - 10:06 AM

I did a week cycle touring of the Outer Hebrides and Skye visiting:

It was a fantastic week mainly due to the weather being amazing. The blue skies, white sand beaches and crystal clear water made me feel like I was in the Bahamas. I can't imagine living on one of these wee islands though, it'd be horrendous as it is generally a very barren and isolated place.

Also been to Arran and Tiree on separate occasions. Both lovely. I now want to visit Harris but maybe not on the bike as it looks too hilly for my liking.

Logan owes Johnny hayes a few pints for his yellow card though. If logan has a fault its he can get up the pitch and wants to stay there instead of getting back into position, in this case we won the ball from a corner and hayes and  logan set off up the LEFT wing. ball went centre and pinged around a bit and went out for a throw on the RIGHT hand side.

Logan stayed up and was level with their penalty area on the LEFT hand side

Ball broke and they set off down our right with logan still on the Left, Hayes had to bust a gut from a central forward position and was left with no real option but to take a yellow card because Logan was again posted missing.

Hayes got booked after making a total balls up of a header in the middle of the pitch when under no pressure. It went straight to their striker which he then had to try and make up for and took the guy down.

I can't argue that Logan gets a bit too adventurous at some points though...like when he was running down the left wing!

People that say "me thinks" at the end of a sentence. Or anywhere in a sentence for that matter. Fuck off.

Heinz beans and sausages for me today.

Was in a rush this morning and the first thing I grabbed was good old Super Noodles.

Paying money for something you can do to your own taste yourself is insanity
