strachanmcgheegoal
Not strange at all. Ferguson was visibly tiring and given his age there’s still potentially burn out issues. He was left on for two reasons. His scoring threat and the fact that McInnes doesn’t fancy Gleeson or Forrester in the slightest. I’d love to see us 3-0 up on the Helens early and for Ferguson to come off and get a rest. Or alternatively to rotate in Ball. Happy to help. 1 Link to comment

Lots of chat in November that the whole squad would have a part to play in December. Not any more than previously so far Link to comment

Real risk of running out of legs for hertz and particularly Tim’s.You'd almost say its already cost us a point against Saints. Could tell we were not really at the races in that one. We'll certainly be asking for trouble in the next two if we only make 1 or 2 changes. Considine, for one, is struggling being asked to play 5 in a row, so far, at right centre half Link to comment
graham
Graham have you heard what's going on with Tansey? Is he finished at Aberdeen? Haven't heard anything about him being injured... but doesn't seem to features in any of the teams.I missed the Rangers Reserves game so did not see Greg Tansey reappearance.I was encouraged to hear he was back playing at last and Reserve games would be ideal to help his return to form and fitness. Sonoftherock
Great to see Tansey in there too! Obviously we have a game tomorrow, but Forrester/Gleeson will be very lacking in match fitness/sharpness if called upon! @@graham, @@Donnet would appreciate a match report if you can be assed! RUL
Deano lives!! Is he in the squad tomorrow as well? Show's the respect they have for him to make him captain when he's not been there for so long. COYR. Link to comment

Betty Swallicks
1-0 at HT. Anderson (presume he'll only play an hour and be in the squad for tomorrow) with the goal. Link to comment
The Cockney Don
A Bruce Anderson goal separates the sides at the break, Burt's penalty save from Anderson keeping the visitors in the game. Link to comment

Tord31
Congratulations to Greg Tansey for moving ahead of Morgan Brown in the pecking order for a midfield berth. A milestone in the season so far for the ex Caley star. Link to comment

graham
Aberdeen Reserves started very well,Dean Campbell going forward and firing in good shot from twenty yards, soon a corner was cleared out to Bruce Anderson who took the ball down well swivelled and shot superbly into the net.Aberdeen then awarded pretty soft penalty and Bruce grabbed the ball and stepped up confidently. Only to find the taking of the penalty delayed, as Dunfermline brought on a sub before kick was taken. The delay and distraction put Bruce off and keeper Craig Burt saved well.So the second goal never came Aberdeen huffed and puffed ,and Dunfermline came back with a great free kick equaliser from Paul Allan.Greg Tansey played the full game and his attitude and enthusiasm was good, sometimes overly so with a wee kick at a player and booked for dissent as he and the Aberdeen team became frustrated at not getting that clinching second goal.Tansey trademark long range passing looked good, yet the wind and the surface at Balmoral not helpful on occasions.Tony Docherty took in the game and would have been encouraged.Miko Virtanen played well and Archie Mair in goal is clearly a big Manuel Neuer fan with his sweeper keeper skills. graham
Miko Virtanen good going forward on the overlap. Not convinced he is a hard tackling right back.Good passer and better in midfield. Well done RUL with the SFA Youth Cup quarter final draw.Matches set for Friday 25th January. Good ties.Could you post the other two games as well please to complete the picture.Of the new u18s players Sean Linden is a speedy right winger and played for the Reserves yesterday and did quite well. If this is not sarcasm then give yourself a shake. It's very clear Tansey will not be playing again (barring an injury list of 10 players). Link to comment

If there was no chance of Tansey playing again, surely he wouldn't be taking up a place in the reserves team? One of the younger lads could've had a run... As it were, we're in dire need of midfielder who can pass the ball! I don't remotely think Tansey is the answer, but given our current deficiencies in the midfield, he should have something to offer.
