Ball did not deserve to be sent off for that at that stage of the game. It was an accidental clash of heads and the ref made a conscious decision there and then to fuck the game.

I would have no arguments with Balls second yellow if Boyata had been deemed to have fouled in exactly the same way.

But he wasn't as it was just an 'unfortunate clash of heads from two players committed to the ball'

Would like to see both incidents for direct comparison but I would bet a large amount on us getting a foul & Boyata a booking had it happened in middle of pitch, or if that game had already been out of our reach at time.

This season has been by far and large the most frustrating campaign we've had under McInnes. We've had ample opportunities to overtake The Rangers in 2nd place. We signed poorly in the summer transfer window: Wilson, Forrester and Gleeson have been truly atrocious and expensive recruitments. Today showed the gulf in class between Celtic and ourselves - we simply cannot compete. Too often I read in the papers/ media outlets that we as a club should be winning more trophies etc yet look at the players in our team - even with GMS, McGinn, Shinnie and Logan we'd have been thumped. They're not good enough to win cups. We didn't replace McLean nor Christie and we are most likely going to lose 4 or 5 of our best players this coming summer. The new training facilities and stadium are clearly going to effect McInnes' budget and I doubt after the fiasco with Forrester that folk are going to be as willing to donate to AberDNA to fund future transfers. Overall a complete and utter disaster of a season.

3 of the last 4 cups we've been knocked out 3-0.

Despite a few good results against Sevco, I'm not sure our big game hoodoo is gone yet.

Not sure about that we've been far more competitive in games against the old firm for a full 12 months now going back to last season's split. We've just been less consistent against the other clubs in the league than we usually are.

Today's game not really a fair comparison as once Ball gets sent off we all knew we would lose. That's not a hoodoo that's because they are already better 11 vs 11 so when it goes 11 vs 10 and it's only the first half there is an inevitability about it. We had too many of our experienced players missing today (Shinnie, Logan, GMS and McGinn). And those that were experienced in the squad haven't done enough to step into their shoes (Wilson, Halford and Gleeson).

Was a huge task for a relatively young team once it's 11 vs 10 with well over half the game to go.

Hoodoo was the wrong word. And I understand we have no right to win every game. But there's been so many disappointing cup games. Today was always going to be a big ask anyway but it's another game where we didn't really give ourselves a chance. I suppose we've had some good cup results as well. I dunno. I'm hurting.

Well that's me home (made it in one piece no thanks to the wife's driving) and have to say I am fair scunnered at how today played out.

Utterly pish result and I apologise to anyone sitting near me who thought I was a simpleton who could only communicate by shouting "push out' accompanied by random profanities for most of the match.

Some initial observations from today:

1) Mcinnes and his backroom team have a fair rebuilding job ahead of him this summer.

2) Neil Lennon is a cunt.

3) While every support has a small degree of utter minks / Chavs / idiots / fuckwits and Fuds (yes even Aberdeen has its fair share of wallopers some of whom were at the match today), my observation would appear to be that for Celtic (and the Huns) the opposite is actually the case. Not sure if it's me getting older and seeing things differently however by fuck you see and hear some bloody states when confronted by the great unwashed. I am sure there must be (very) small pockets of decent Tim fans, however the bulk of their support comprise utter minks / Chavs / idiots / fuckwits and Fuds. A stinking sea of green wearing head to toe Sports direct, swiging buckfast from the bottle adorned with various 'rebel' paraphernalia speaking in a language I barely understood. And that was just the females.

4) Neil Lennon is a Cunt

5) Stewart is a luxury we cannot afford in our team. Some lovely touches and moves but does not out a shift in.

5) Neil Lennon is a Cunt.

Off to open a bottle of red and try to forget today.

We were doing fine and completely in the game until the referee sends off Ball.

Don't kid yourself. We were shite. Could have been a goal down inside 5 minutes easily.

We've played celtic twice at hampden this season and not even had 10 shots on goal in total. Today was fucking abject from the start.

I bet 20 quid that May would score 10 goals from open play this season.

In retrospect that wasn't overly clever.

Tbh I think he was unlucky to get hooked cause of the red card. Imo it should have been Stewart who was utterly honking today and that’s saying something considering the whole team bar Lewis were shite
