He's nearer the bone than some of the happy clappers on here. The 200 millionaires (NO.) Change that to the Tight Fisted ass holes that want a super stadium and training facilities and Unknown signings from lower English leagues. How many years away is the super stadium. !!!!!!!!! It's right now they should be concerned about Celtic rangers Kilmarnock hibs Motherwell wil be well above Aberdeen next season, it seems that the millionaires just don't give a monkeys about what goes on player wise at this moment in time. Just look at the signings so far only hedges looks the part. One decent signing, Motherwell hibs are getting after it, Aberdeen still in twighlight zone.

Ok Shoofta :thumbup1:

#1786463 Summer Transfer Window 2019

Honestly?

We're definitely missing out on gems in the Scottish lower leagues.

We should be looking to sign players who have potential or are currently on the up.

We should be looking to sign exciting footballer that justify the £28 ticket prices plus travel expenses dependent on where you live.

Obviously, you can't win every game but nothing worse than losing and watching your team play horrific anti football.

We should be pushing the boat out at this moment in time to bring in experienced players a la Bryson and Coutts. They should be signings we make, in my opinion.

If we continue to sign guys who have went away and not improved, and guys who have had shit careers up until they sign for us, then we will continue on without trophies.

We all talk about trophies and that, but it's coming up for 6 years since we last won one, and before that it was 20+ years.

All I want is trophies, every signing we make should with that in mind.

People saying budgets blah blah.

I don't give a fuck about that shit, we have two hundred plus millionaire owners and we should be looking to get at least 3 hallmark signings in this window to provide optimism and to have a genuinely good chance going forward.

What's the point in a new stadium if the team on the pitch is shite?

The signings have been mediocre. Will continue to be so unless there's serious investment.

There is money there, in the club.

Mental post.

And Ball was a first pick all last season....in no way a squad player. Had he joined up right now he would do so as a first pick....hes still better than Campbell ( well would be more consistent) at present although there's no doubt Campbell will be better long term....probably by this time next season I suspect,

We'd be better off giving Campbell the minutes now so he adapts quicker in that case.

Reign it in

I want mckenna to be brilliant and if 10m is getting bandied about then hes going to be properly scrutinised

If Lukaku is an £85m striker then you'd have to concede that McKenna played pretty well.

Scotland played quite well. Certainly not an embarrassment. Belgium are one of the best teams in the world and you'll likely struggle to get good odds on them winning the actual tournament next year.

Shows how low we've dropped when that was an encouraging performance though.

Wasn't like a swung in cross though- it was basically lifted over McKenna. Impossible to stop from where McKenna was - so not really beaten in the air so much as bad positioning.

Given about 5 other Scotland players did literally nothing as Hazard lined up the cross, and McKenna was the only one even trying to prevent that it's a bit silly to blame him.

It's almost as if one of the best players in the world managed to cross the ball directly on to the head of the biggest man on the park.

If McKenna had dropped back he'd have gotten the blame for misjudging the flight of the ball.

The cross was perfect.

#1783552 Dons Set To Secure Multi Million Investment

Posted by boboisared on 07 June 2019 - 02:59 PM

It is complete nonsense to think that the cash has to be in the company at the time a statement is made saying that the funding is in place for phase 1, for it to be a truthful statment.  They could have:

- Loan or overdraft facilities agreed upon but not drawn down on.  (no point incurring interest before the cash is needed).

- Sponsorship deals agreed without the cash transferred.  (i.e. company sponsoring the name of it for £x is hardly going to transfer it over when half built).

- Investments from investors agreed but not yet formalised (awaiting a straightforward paper exercise and the necessity for the cash to be in the company).

All situations where you may not have the cash yet, but the funding is in place.

Happy to have my point backed by the likes of yourself :trophy:

#1783466 Out Of Contract

Posted by boboisared on 07 June 2019 - 12:14 PM

I think you are absolutely correct about us being the back-up option.

Don't agree with telling him to get to fuck though. I'm not sure whether the NYCFC story was a bit of hype from his agent or if it was true and they've cooled their interest due to his severe lack of playing time since last December but something has certainly gone awry in the GMS future career masterplan.

He does offer us an option when on form that no other player in the club can ( can't comment on Hedges as yet). I'd definitely want him to sign on again but given he has fucked us around, I'd be offering him terms that were not as good as our original extension offer. He's not signed with anyone else and it may well be his options are limited to say the least.

Allegedly NYFC have changed formation and he's no longer what they are after.

I'd like to keep him but wouldn't be the focal point of any team going forward. McLennan's development should take priority.

What’s to complain about?

Misleading headline

Not discussed in the extensive Cormack and Milne interview

Stitching up the small shareholders

#1783045 Dominic Ball

Posted by boboisared on 06 June 2019 - 03:01 PM

Sign up the Dom Ball!

Worse than Taylor and Main is my view

Bullied as a centre half
Poor at right back getting dragged inside
Defensive mid he has shown some promise but at the moment he is absolutely not good enough to be a first choice

My fear with these (hopefully) squad signings is we spread ourselves too thinly and cant afford to get in the quality we need; a left back, a good forward player and two first pick central midfielders

Changed your mind Tord?
