Poodler
P&J Live is going to be a shambles and it has a train station within walking distance....... but Kingsford will be fine.Within walking distance of the fit and able. And there's one train after 2130, at 2327 or something, so it'll be far from convenient for gigs Link to comment
redstrummer
Signage up at entrance now and AFC flags all over the lamp posts. Does look a bit strange with a massive muddy field next to it though, looks unfinished, which, of course, it is. Just drove past , looks smart with the Aberdeen badge at the entrance Link to comment
Site Sponsor Dom Sullivan Posted October 30, 2019 Site Sponsor Share Posted October 30, 2019 I see that No Kingsford Stadium Ltd has today filed an application at Companies House to have the company struck off. Spunked circa £70k on a wasted exercise just to satisfy a few NIMBYS.NKS Ltd accounts for the period ended 30th June 2019 now available to view on the Companies House website, albeit abridged accounts and not the full version. What can be gleaned from the figures is as follows: As at 30th June 2018 the company had a negative Balance Sheet of £3,861 Results for the year ended 30th June 2019 were: Turnover was £67,840 Rechargeable costs were £63,975 plus "other charges" (likely bank charges) of £4. This results in a Net Profit of £3,861 Surprise, surprise, the profit this year miraculously wipes out the brought forward negative Balance Sheet to the penny resulting in the Balance Sheet as at 30th June 2019 being exactly Nil. Amazing how they can manage to wipe out the negative Balance Sheet to the very penny! So NKS Ltd is not due money to any Creditor thus allowing the Strike Off application to proceed unchallenged. Bottom line though is that the amount spunked in this exercise totalled £68,340 (£500 in the 2018 accounting year and £67,840 in the 2019 accounting year). What a fucking waste of cash. strachanmcgheegoal
Does he deserve it more than, say, Kennedy, McMaster, Weir etc? And that’s not to mention those not of the 80s vintage. Or perhaps you just want the confrontation? 1 Link to comment
Frank Grimes
Enough negativity on here these days, probably again tonight whatever the result at Hamilton, so Credit where it’s due - well done to the club on the Training Ground and looking forward to hearing about the opening tomorrow 2 Link to comment

Pittodrie_Erupts
Correct about Buchan but statue still has to be Willie holding aloft the CWC. I think its important the pre-80s years are not forgotten, too many people think football started in the 90s as it is. We have a lot of history to commemorate. Of course the zenith is that moment in 83. Link to comment

Dunty
According to a girl who was at the meeting... Safe standing costs three times as much as normal seating does, which means to incorporate it they may have to cut capacity. They also think this will help stadium be full more often. Cormack asked those at meeting whether they would prefer 17,000 - 18,000 capacity but with standing, or 20,000 without. They all voted for the smaller capacity. Can't make the stadium higher due to height restrictions imposed on them, which also means they can't make it very steep. Considering making the supporters bar the length of the north stand. Been impressed by what they saw at Tottenham. Access by membership or extra on ticket price. Also considering indoor fanzone. Link to comment
maryhilldon
Ridiculous that there's a hight restriction in the middle of nowhere. What difference does a few metres make? And I'm failing to see how safe standing would lead to a reduced capacity? Link to comment
