When did it become socially acceptable for people to use those gloves at the pumps?  Cave robbery of the highest order IMO.

what if youre away to eat crisps immediately after? glove (only need one on yir pumping hand MJ style) means you don't have to go to the bogs and wash diesel off yir mitts.

I've wondered why people use gloves before, but never thought of it much beyond leaving the petrol station.  

 

As someone who has had no sense of smell since I was old enough to drive, I've never thought of the possibility my hand would stink of petrol/diesel.  Probably one of the smells I miss the most.  

 

With the one glove approach, is there not a risk of getting the other hand stinky when you remove the glove?
