Aberdeen V St Mirren

That's just shite.

It really isn't.

You just cannot deal with it well when folk see both sides of a game.

When folk don't view all games through your rosey specs.

I praise the team & players when they play well, I will also argue against undeserved praise when fools 'rush in' with over protective pish for shite like Shinnie when it is clearly a massive exaggeration.

The team haven't been in good form since they came back from the break really.

Defensively we've been pretty rocky and he hasn't got the right balance in the 3 behind the striker.

Hopefully having Devlin and McKenna available again will sort out the defence.

I'd like to see McLennan back in the starting line up. Probably with Stewart and GMS. Wilson and McGinn as options off the bench.

What because I praise Ferguson (maybe a lil too much) & slate Shinnie?

Don't forget I am comparing them for value for money/wages especially. In fact, Ferguson brings far more than twice the player of Shinnie in terms of value for wages if truth be told.

Shinnie runs about & throws in the odd erratic tackle to scare a few opponents out of a game. Some think this makes him a footballer.

Poor mans Scot Brown but with a little less arrogance & a lot less footballing abilities (& Brown is also hugely overrated by many in terms of footballing abilities)

I stand by my statement in that hands down I would chose Ferguson over Shinnie if we were only allowed to keep one of the two at the club.

Wasting your time, haven't read a word.

For all the faith in Devlin & Mckenna, they haven't played much together really & have both been guilty of some individual fk ups this season.

Considine will take some stick for today's goal but ultimately it was a slip. He backed off his man a bit too much also & got himself in trouble but Devlin put him in trouble in first place.

.

I REALLY hate it when you repeat the same thing 100 times. Just fuckin stop posting.

Tough titties biatch

Oh & I only repeat the same thing 100 times because others repeat the same arguments against 100 times.

You may side one way or other but ignore the repetitiveness of your side because you are blinkered/biased to that ;)

Again,,,, tough titties biatch

Nope. Shinnie is a fine player albeit he is limited, he's a good captain and has dragged us through plenty games. He is what he is, I have never attributed him with any qualities he doesn't have. I am certain that Ferguson is a better player, not sure what you think I have ever said about Shinnie you disagree with. My point is that you are incessantly critical of signing policy of McInnes but ignore his successes, at the moment Ferguson and Cosgrove are huge successes, Shinnie has been a good signing too. McLean was a very good signing, difficult to replace. Devlin very good but injury problems. You frame McInnes as a failure in the transfer market and ignore his significant successes.

I hope St Mirren get relegated. A truly woeful team who, after only 20 minutes, started to time waste.

100% they will.

Mind when their manager first came in with some mad delusions that he/they could win the league lol

Guess he must have been meaning the championship

A lot of teams I would like relegated & whilst st Mirren are one of them, they are not top of the list.

Obviously would love any of arse cheeks to go but realistically my first choices would be any/all of the plastic pitch joke teams.

How do I ignore them. I praised McInnes for BOTH finds in Cosgrove & Ferguson just because you choose to ignore this to suit some agenda, that is your delusions & purely on you.

Shinnie is utter tripe though a decent 'average' player to have but far from worthy of being a highest earner.

I have praised many of McInnes's signings. Especially Cosgrove & Ferguson but also McLean (on & off) Logan, Lewis, Ward, GMS, Rooney, even Shinnie (when I thought he'd finally signed a LB to confine Considine to the bench) Devlin & even May at first. I may have been wrong/premature regarding praise of some of these signings but I still praised them/him all the same. You seem to only focus on the negatives from some it seems & have a blinkered/automatic defensive attitude so strong that you delude yourself into seeing one side only to suit your bitterness

Some fans will steadfastly jump to protect any & all players just because they wear the strip.

Others will judge players on their abilities in general (& without bias for or against). Whether that be from game to game &/or overall over a season etc.

I know which group I fall in for the most part & I am happier to be in that non blinkered side

Well I'm not such a fan. What I've seen of the team this year is that we've been very good at times but vulnerable to injuries. McInnes has made characteristic errors in big games such as last hun game but has improved generally in how we've set up in those. We have not replaced McLean and the re-introduction of Stewart has upset a certain balance we had. I understand why he was brought back, he's a good player. Your complaint is that we're not signing big (unnamed) players and seems completely vacuous and unrealistic.

No, we had our most successful period in December but I can't remember much good football. We had a more direct style then. Since Stewart's return our build up play has been slower and results have been patchy. Said it at the time that the challenge for McInnes would be how to get the best from Stewart. Not sure McInnes is capable of incorporating a quality player into his style of play (see Christie, Maddison...).

Seemed to manage it when we were thumping teams by 6 or 7 in the second half of the 2017/18 season tbf

I thought Gleeson was shite. If he’s meant to take the ball from the back four and pick a pass he done the polar opposite today. Turned back so many times it was unreal. You don’t need a player like that against St Mirren, no wonder we created so little with him, Shinnie and Ferguson and an out of sorts/lazy McGinn and GMS in midfield. Was a shite game, no drive, ambition or passion.

You may not like it but I very much do fall into the category of calling a spade a spade.

I judge players/team/manager on a game by game basis.

Any past greatness/shiteness doesn't affect my judgement immediately during or after an individual game.

When I judge a player/team/manager in an overall view over a given period I will say as much.

Players/team/managers will happily take praise when it's given/earned & as such should also accept the negatives when they come & blinkered fans should see this broader perspective also, otherwise they are simply happy clapping window lickers that obliviously praise the team regardless.

The gold star for participating generation of snowflakes
