This is the day the resurgence starts again.

Drop Woodman. He's no Danny Ward. Get our own goalkeeper back in there and give him the chance to prove himself.

Drop O'Connor. No reason needed.

Drop Logan. Just to give him a kick up the arse. His place has been too safe. Drop him and hope for a reaction when we play Killie.

This is May's last chance. If Stockley can score against Partick Thistle then no excuse for May.

And keep Shinnie at left back ffs.

Rogers

Ball Arnason McKenna Shinnie

Nwakali McLean

McGinn Christie Wright

May

Wright didn't even make the bench on Saturday, was he injured?  Given his last 2 performances at Firhill he should be first name on the teamsheet

Good point re Wright . Some players do play better at certain grounds .
I've noticed DM is carrying a bit more weight these days than he did when he joined us . If he doesn't start Wright he should be publicly 'fat shamed'.

Apart from the fact that he had a good game the last time we were at Firhill, I don't understand the reasoning for Wright starting this time round. From my memory, I don't think the boy has kicked a ball this year. The last time we threw him in cold was against the Huns at Pittodrie and he was anonymous. Not having a go at the lad but I just think it would be unfair to pitch him in again from the start in similar circumstances.

Out of interest, where are we getting the Lewis thing.

Haven't heard much coming from the club, even to say hes back in some light training.

& yeah Woodman isn't inspiring confidence.

Would go with:

Rogers
Ball Arnason McKenna Shinnie
Nwakali McLean
McGinn Christie GMS
May

Likely will be:

Woodman
Logan AOC McKenna Considine
Shinnie McLean
McGinn Christie Rooney
May

McInness signed Tansey whom he pursued for 2 windows, then punted him and brought in a loanee who he won't play so now we are left with a situation where he will almost always start AOC and Considine.  All of his own doing.  Might be enough to beat Partick but it won't be pretty and up against better opposition we'll struggle big time as we have all season.

Yup. McInnes just doesn't seem to get that Considine, O'Connor and Rooney, for different reasons, but primarily a lack of pace are not good enough against the better sides. So, given that most of the fixtures remaining are against the better sides he should be using Saturday's game to try and get a settled formation without the aforementioned three. Won't happen though.

Rooney is good when we play to his strengths i.e. balls into the box

AOC should be no where near the team but WE all know he will be a starter.

... Don't disagree but at the moment, especially against the better sides, we aren't getting enough balls into the box to justify his inclusion.

Nah. Gary doesn't have the strength to swim upstream. Floating down the river is a piece of piss though.

Really, really bad post

Is it humour , that what it is and I just don't get it?

Bit of surrealism or even satire if you please . Appealing to the thinkers . 😏

GMS must start if only for what he might do , rather than what he actually does. Worth persevering with and he is our player after all.

Today's game and performance will go a long way to seeing how the rest of the season (and the replay) is going to pan out IMO.
