#1897063 Ronald Hernandez

someone on mad claims that Main rejected a loan to Killie.

Player cormack spoke about was another South American that is very creative and likely to happen in summer.

No idea if that is true but it sounds class if it is.

I guess if we are a success at this the club could become an attractive club for South American’s that seek a big move. Better not get carried away but let’s hope Ronald is the real deal.

It's got to be the model the club has to go by. If he is a success over the next couple of seasons the length of contract puts us in a strong position if anyone comes looking to buy him. I've no issue with players using us as a stepping stone to the dizzying heights of the EPL
If they give us their all while they are here.

I'm allowing myself to believe the future is bright under Cormack.

Damn fool!

#1896082 JAN 2020 transfer window

Overall it’s been a decent window for us. If you had said in December that we would sign McGeouch ,Kennedy and Hernández and only losing Wilson and Vyner I would have taken it. At least we have kept Cosgrove and McKenna.

I cant help but think McKenna and Cosgrove are our biggest problem!

I think there will be something already sorted. Probably a loan but it won't be revealed till last minute so it looks like the club have been hard at it all day "thrashing out a deal before the window slams shut"

#1894631 Mcinnes

There is a common trend of highly touted players coming through the youth system who fail to deliver in the first team. The Shanklands, Scott Wrights and Bruce Anderson's of the world are always going to struggle in our first team because of the style of football we play.

As far as I can see this is due to a fundamental mistake by our club/manager as there is no chosen system that all our age groups stick too. In our case (God help everyone) Derek McInnes' philosophy on football should be being taught to our youngest age groups and that should carry on right through to our reserves and first team.
That way any players trying to break through should be more than comfortable and ready to play in the first teams system as they have already been doing it for years.

The game lacked any real urgency from both sides. Maybe the empty stadium played a factor in that?
I do know Cosgrove up front promotes a brutal brand of football.
Hopefully some daft English club will come in for him with an offer we cant refuse.

McInnes needs to take the reigns off some of these boys too. Let them go for it and express themselves in a game. We look like a team playing to a system and nobody looks like they want to, or allowed to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and say "Right im fucking winning this for us"
Stick your game management up your arse. Do goals and win games.

I hope he's involved in a serious car accident

I hope he plays exactly the same for them as he did for us.

#1769537 James Wilson - Our New Number 9

Posted by DaveTheDon on 04 May 2019 - 01:54 PM

Didnt see the second half but he looked good first half minus the misses. We look to have more of a threat with him in the team and Stewart seems to up his game a bit too when Wilson is around. Consistent game time earlier in the season would see him take those chances though I feel

Shinnie will be away next season on a free to the championship.

Cant see it. He might wanna go there but unless he plays a season at left back and does it very well then no championship side is gonna want a headless chicken yellow card machine in midfield.
That being said. I love the man and hope he signs a new bumper deal with us.

I thought he was poor last night. After Mclean put him through and the ball broke away from him he stopped and waved his arms about and moaned at GMS cause he wasnt there to win the ball that he should still have been chasing after.
Also he had that shot in the box that the commentators passed off as a "snap shot"
Nah it wasn't. He swung at it in a panic with zero composure.
Yeah he runs about a lot and it looks like he's working hard and im sure defenders hate his movement but he needs to do more than run about a lot.

That being said id still like to see him and Cosgrove start the rest of the games together. Getting a bit late now this season but once they build up an understanding they could be a really effective partnership.

McInnes claims we've good bouncebackability.
My issue with that is we're having to bounce back to often these days.

Be nice if they can learn how to bounce back straight away from a goal down instead of waiting till the next week!
