Fraser Fyvie and Peter Pawlett sitting in the home dressing room at Tannadice, discussing what could have been. How depressing.

True. Both still young and should be in the primes of their careers. Injuries haven't helped either of them to be fair.

But the harsh reality for both of them is that neither would get anywhere near our current starting 11.

Delusions of grandeur aplenty with Fyvie, but tbf to Pawlett, he needed a change from here - MK Dons was hardly a step up. Was a shadow of himself whilst here rather than becoming so whilst away.

Very true dad. Plus Pawlett was reduced to squad player by the time he left which must have been hard for him after being such an important player in McInnes' first season. But the team had moved on and he became a victim of that. Just like Rooney. And to be fair we haven't really missed either of them.

Fyvie could really have been something but he went South far too quickly. I can't really blame him for that considering the mess we were at the time.

Pawlett peaked in McInnes' first season and never kicked on from there. Once teams figured out that he was a one trick pony he was finished.

Don't wish either of them any ill really.
