A happy day. But Budge can't even sack someone properly. He gets sacked as manager. Sacked as DoF and board member. His only two jobs. Then retained til summer to help the board continue restructuring of the academy and youth operations. We've got about 11 coaches already across Daly, Fox, MacPhee, Naysmith, Kirk, Rankin and loads more. How much restructuring is necessary and just get a couple of them to do it. People forget a football club is actually a very small business in finance and headcount terms. Certainly of our size.

Budge had the shareholders meeting tonight and even the Hearts jammie wearers were starting to get animated lately. With fans continuing to put up graffiti and even vandalising the club crest on the plaza. She knew she had to take action before tonight or she'd get it in the neck and we were all heading towards levels seen under Chris Robinson.

From the chat tonight she's said he'll have zero involvement in picking a new manager and any new appointment will report to her. Seems like maybe he's on gardening leave. He can't physically be around the place surely. Too big a shadow for any new manager.

I think Hibs will also be looking for a new manager in coming week or so. Will be interesting that both clubs interviewing likely similar candidates. Gotta think both approach Robinson at Well for example.

I've seen us lead with tradition and Hearts connections. Personally I'd like the total opposite. The boy at Wycombe, Gareth Ainsworth is very highly rated. 47. Attack minded. Expected to be poached. Linked with Sunderland. Woukd like to see us go for someone like that. Young. Ambitious. Hungry. Attacking philosophy. Lower leagues and ready for the step up. A people manager.

But we'll end up with Pressley, McCann or Hartley and they'll retain MacPhee and the cast of thousands employed here and culpable in our existing mess. Still, a good day. Plus Bercow fucked off too.

Oh ho, EB4B has a story everyone, gather round.

That story was pretty much common knowledge

Is that the one that Jack Ross got fired for pumping when he was a coach there prior to becoming a manager?

They could always go for Sally McCoist, no history of him shagging around ever.

Ross got fired from Hearts not Hivs

I work with a Sunderland fan and he liked Jack Ross. He felt he needed until Xmas to deliver, but said ultimately he did underachieve, given he had (by some distance, apparently) the biggest budget in their league. Summed up by saying Ross had/has potential, but it was too big a job too soon.

Given the above, and his past record, this could go either way. He will definitely be keen to bounce back quickly and prove himself all over again.

Because folk from Sunderland are the sharpest tools in the box.   :hysterical:  :hysterical:  :hysterical:

Maybe try typing that on a forum that gives a fuck.

Encourage Robson/Sheerin to apply. Let them learn about management at a smaller club before returning home when McInnes finally gets outta Dodge

Be interesting to see if Robson is the long term approach the club take. Doing well with the U18's and highly regarded.
