Yon big galoot up at County could do us a turn. Ross Stewart. Bung them carrot crunchers £250k and they’ll fold.

£2m for Cosgrove is decent, if we add a sell on. And as has been said, given this has now been leaked, other clubs have seen our hand and won’t be offering any more.

Very true.
Aberdonians that are unionists or have unionist tendencies are a disgrace to the city.

Do you want to 100% clarify what your definition of Unionist is? Someone who believes the UK is better with Scotland a part of it? That makes them a disgrace?

#1959171 AFC Unveils Football Philosophy And Strategy

Saw that, what was he doing before?

He was in charge of player registrations, logistic involved when going abroad etc etc

Looks like Duncan Fraser’s Old role has been sliced up and taken on by Cormack and Gunn(er)

#1956891 Summer Transfer Window 2020

Posted by sooth_stander on 21 June 2020 - 06:58 AM

Vancouver Don on Pie and Bovril reckons its McKenna who is the one on the way out, AFC looking at £4.5m with several English Premiership and Championship clubs after him. Looks like it will happen late this week, THEN Hayes and Cerny will be announced, possibly Leigh too.

Transfer window open till Oct 5th

The McKenna sale would mean players wage cuts only apply till Aug, with the wage deferrals paid back early next year.

Vancouver Don also suggesting Logan will depart this summer too, not a huge surprise that one, on big wages and won’t start once Ronnie gets his arse in gear.

Hedges will defo be on his way, and I reckon Bryson too. Squad is bloated in general but in central midfield in particular. We just can’t sustain such huge numbers.

If anything good comes out of this shit, it’s McInnes being forced to blood more youngsters, should injuries kick in and leave us thin on numbers. And if they are not good enough, it’s a sad indictment on his own youth structure.

#1952190 Aberdeen 86/87 season

Dodds was underrated by a lot of our support. He scored a barrowload for Yinited, probably could consider himself a bit unlucky to play for us in our late eighties transitional period when the Fergie side was breaking up and throughout the Porterfield failed experiment. Totally forgot that he left us to join oldco ana

Yeah, in hindsight, Dodds was probably underrated by us.

He was part of a very well drilled Utd side, that tended to play the same 11 week in week out, where everyone knew their role, but I think struggled thereafter when he was maybe expected to more dynamic and play with more freedom.

Only lasted a few months (I think) in Switzerland after leaving Utd before signing for us.

I just think some players are great in certain teams under certain managers, but struggle outside out that bubble, but at least he gave himself the opportunity the better himself, unlike Sturrock, Narey, Hegerty etc etc.

Maybe he's just interested in the game as a whole?

I didn't think the Donald's put in as much as £16m did they?

Think he did, V. Wiped out the debt which was sitting at around that figure.

Certainly wasn’t the Tough gype anyway.

How would you feel if Donald then stepped in now and said, “I’ll match Anderson’s figure, to be spread out predominantly for the 3 lower leagues?

I’d be saying “fuck that, give it ALL to AFC” 😂😂

He's a fucking clown, as I've said from the start.
Hopefully he's just passing through.

Is any other cunt in Scottish fitba currently pumping in circa £10m a season?

Club just put out a statement saying that since the season has now been called, season ticket holders can apply for a refund on the games that never took place.

Surely, surely, no AFC fan will go down this avenue? Would cost the club £1m if everyone did

Hillarious as it is to see Fartz go down........

I don't think they will.

With league reconstruction back on the agenda, either Anne Fudge will get her way with a 14-10-10-10 setup, or, as Keith wyness pointed out at the weekend, we may end up with only 2 leagues after this shit is done and dusted anyway, such will be the financial shitfest that will ensue.

There's also too much a love in, in SPFL circles with the cuddly Glasgow club Partick Thistle anyway and their similair plight, which will also assist Fartz.

I doubt they'll be playing in mid August unless it's closed doors.

Can't really agree with your assessment daytripping, if they hadn't brought in the measures they have we'd currently be in a much more serious crisis.

I wouldn't even be surprised if there's no football crowds allowed until next year sometime.

So you question why clubs are asking for your season ticket dough now when, potentially, you might only get 10 home league games to watch yet get charged the full Monty?

Reckon the clubs would then reimburse you for the games you missed? Aye ok

Look, I don’t mind helping out my club; season tickets, strips, DNA etc etc but I’m fucked if I’m paying full price for a season ticket and only getting 50% use of it
