Just reading about it on Twitter. People saying Cormack said the reason he signed an extension was because certain players wanted assurances he'd be there. Ojo and Hedges were signed because of the training ground, which is hardly that inspiring considering they are bang our level.

They look to rip the heart and soul out of the club by the start of the 22/23 season. Kingsford will be in full flow.

Also, they are 1,000 Season Tickets down and are down on DNA. My guess would be this is due to people being dissatisfied with product on offer and the recruitment. So why they gave Derek an extension, fuck knows.

Safe standing costs 3 times more than normal seating apparently.

A marquee being considered at the "fan zone" with a couple of quid entrance fee.

Teucher Milne turning match day into The Turra Show (but with less folk).

How the fuck does that make any sense?

It's surely less man power and less equipment required, because it's essentially just rows and rows of barriers rather than just seats.

Safe standing has to happen if they are gonna go ahead with this. Otherwise it'll be the same old shite pittodrie atmosphere.

It's not just rows of barriers, it's rail seating that can be used as seats for games where standing is not allowed (European games). I'd imagine these rail seats are more expensive.

I'd also imagine that there is a requirement for greater steward/police presence in standing areas compared to seated areas.

I'm not buying that it costs 3x more but I'd bet it is more expensive in both the immediate and long term.
