Just to clear up misinformation and bullshit previously sprouted in this thread.

Pubs/shops can't increase the £30 maximum for contactless, Apple Pay etc can be over £30 because you are authenticating it with your finger/passcode.

There is a lot more hassle in running a cash gate than employing a school kid to run it for an hour.

There are many easy ways to bypass security if you are banned (unless very notorious) a mate buying you a ticket, wearing a hat and not sitting wear you normally sit would do the trick I'm sure. Might be different in ten years with facial recognition on CCTV etc but that ain't ever happening at Pittodrie.

Putting contactless payments at a gate is a decent idea, I'm sure the club has looked into the costs of hardware to select the ticket type, take the payment, print the ticket, software development and the fact it would also be quite easy to buy a kids ticket for an adult. The fact it is only used for 20 games a season and the technology could become dated quick it isn't worth it. It would probably have to be an already developed system that we purchased/rent from another company.

Cash has many benefits when you don't want HMRC to know what you spend your money on or how you obtain it.

Fuck Stenny.

Yeah a UK debit card often has to get run through as a credit card or it declines your payment too, a right pain in the hoop, especially when thick fuckers don’t understand when you tell them. I had to grab the card machine in the local Sushi place to put the payment through for them, the woman nearly had a heart attack......I’d told the server four times and her twice.

I’m using a weswap “preloaded currency credit card” it’s basically a prepaid master card with USD on it. I’m pretty sure I could claim it’s been stolen as 99% of the time I just sign for things and the tip is just hand written and then I presume they go back and key it in.

The automatic tip on the new card readers pisses me off. I usually tip folk in the food/drink industry but don’t like being told that it has to be a certain amount especially trying to guilt folk into tipping more than they should.

The card readers are a fucking joke. I have a contactless card, then it has chip and pin, always have to sign, quite often a piece of paper manually adding the tip filling in three different boxes. Takes a fucking age, the UK is genuinely advanced as fuck when it comes to payments compared to the US.

How can any sane person say "I believe in independence at any cost"

That's mental

I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

No mate, if you read my post again carefully my argument for not being a hun was that I have been going to Pittodrie since you were in your nappies. You obviously accept that being labelled as a hun is about the worst insult that can be bandied about on here and in hindsight I accept you were jesting. So lets leave it at that and accept each other as fellow Dandies even though I am a "pedantic" cunt. :)

Shut up you hun.

Water slides are better than sitting in the sun, watching world class sport and having a few beers? Yeah, okay...

LOL

Water slides, local Florida craft beers and birds in bikinis or tennis, posh cunts and Stella, know what I prefer.

Not against cafe culture I was in Berlin and Prague early December. You can do both.

There’s also plenty decent food although nae much culture admittedly over here. Visited a farmers market on Sunday, going to another on Saturday.

Won’t be wasting my time doing fuck all shopping.

If you don't have kids, you can go on proper holidays rather than kids places like Disney.

I had a cracking time at Blizzard beach the day. More fun than sitting watching tennis.

LOL

I can assure you I have no intention of leaving this world anytime soon. It might surprise you to learn that I have no inherent objection to Scotland going its own way, but I do object to us giving up one set of political overlords for another. We should simply go for WTO rules to begin with and then negotiate our own trade agreements with other countries. Who the fuck would not want to buy our Whisky, food produce and carbon neutral technology while at the same time throwing open their markets to Scottish innovation. We can do it if for once in our history if we have the courage to really stand on our own two feet.

You can have indy with out rejoining the EU and you can have indy without voting for the SNP, I'd recommend at least one.

"Ireland claims 4% of world whisky makes them £2.5Bn per year but SWA says Scotland's 80% makes less than £4bn so who is the liar?"

The UK govt have been proven many many times to be lying fucking cunts, if you want any part of that debacle you're a fucking coward and/or a moron.

Fuck you old manny you hun cunt.

I meant I'd disappear in a plane, after I'd learnt to fly and stole a plane. Get down to Africa stopping at remote air strips or some shite.
