Yeah. Rob McLean on the BBC highlights saying it was just a tap in if he found his man, no mention that it would have to go through the defender to reach him....

Yes. Motherwell man had to fire it across the goal but a good chance McKenna gets a foot on it.

The problem for us would be whether that goes into the goal or not.

BT Sport made the point that the winger never looked up once. Could be argued that McKennas position was so good, the winger wouldn't have been able to see his man with his peripheral vision.

Yet he pointed out the path being blocked to McLean when May had his first half shot.
There was an easier ball to him than the well one.
The pull back was the right option really.

FUCKING RED TV
I diligently bided off whattsapp and all social media on Sunday (was working) so that I wouldn't see the score and could watch the whole match that night, Last time I tried it I accidentally saw D.M miserable puss on the managers reaction window so I knew we had been beat, This time I tried to find the "first half in full" box which is right next to a box titled "the goal"  so I now know its one nil but next to that is the highlights box with a picture of a ecstatic D.M punching the air which tells me we have won, What the fuck is the point of a full replay if you cant get to it without knowing what the score is and who won.

A defeat and a 1:0 against a team like Motherwell. Still shocking. We need a more solid midfield. I don't understand why McInness has dropped Jack, not even an appearance on the bench.

Is he injured or something more sinister?

We done what we needed to do to get the 3 points...Job done..

But again except a lot of changes for Saturday, no way team will be anything like what we saw yesterday.

I'm all for McKenna and Arnie to start Sunday though.

Big up to the police man that cycled his bike right into Tesco to tell us to be quiet haha..

I'm afraid all Ash Taylor haters we miss him big time every set piece in our box nearly a goal an can't see this changing all season we're pish at the back.fact not being negative we can't deal with crosses.

Firstly, c'mon min. Haters?

What kind of  infantile terminology is thone?

Is that not the way these airheaded,, Z-ilst guffy no marks talk on their banal reality shows?  :nono:

As for Taylor, some serious revisionism there.

He is / was a very limited football player.

Perhaps being a bit kind that.

Fucking shite fits better IMO.

Also, a large percentage of his horrific point losing mistakes  for us were due to him fucking up or missing his headers.

We have always had a way superior and stronger in the air defender in our ranks this season in Arnason.

He just hasn't been getting a game.

Add to that McKenna's performance in the face of Motherwell's aerial bombardment, then it looks a good pairing.

Particularly in countering the hammer throwers such as Well, St J and assume Hearts when they appear here.

It'll be a touch perplexing if McInnes does not continue with the partnership against the aforementioned St Js this weekend.

I was glad to hear that mcinnes went back to basics, with everyone knowing what the plan was. Keep it simple.

After getting gunned 3 nil beating them 1 nil away is a class result. All we can do is keep winning and stop over thinking games, the wins will keep on piling up.

Clean sheet is always good.

Keep the pressure on celtic is all I ask.

Pleased with the win, better than the crappy cup game, but still  a bit fortunate to get away with the 3 pts I thought.

Still nice to be back to winning ways.  Think Mwell will get a decent ranked finish this yr they have started pretty well.  Above the buns hopefully!

Its terrific to think that as we all flapped about which of arnie ant and reynolds would make up the two, there was this big sexy bastard sat in the shadows, ready to emerge as the man who made all our dicks hard/vaginas wet.

Terrific.

Here you go @Dad, not only predicting arnie and McKenna but also O'Connor in front. Very decent shout from @Tzvetanovs hair last Friday evening. Deserves recognition  :thumbup1:

Overall, last night wasn't a shock after the performances recently. I get the impression that McInnes was hoping we would click before facing the top end teams and it would paper over the serious cracks that have been been exposed in the last few games - when Dundee and Killie come up here and look more confident and hungry than us, its a bad time and a shout back to the dark times. Killie looked good up here, which was worrying. Motherwell have looked great this season and they hammered a team last night that were short of any type of game plan or real bite to their play.

I'd be confident of Stevie May scoring goals even if he wasnt playing well in a game, but there is very little that he is able to do when teams are able to comfortably play in our own half most of a game.

Not even sure that Tansey is the answer in the middle. I'd like to see Arni and McKenna at the back and O'Connor centre mid. 2 big loons at the back that can win a header and O'Connor likes to mix it up in the middle too, get Shinnie in beside him and McLean or Christie behind the striker. Not sure about Mackay Steven, he has quickly drifted out of games so not sure how long we give him. Stewart has shown signs of being decent on the right but again, drifts in and out of games. Young loons in these positions may encourage these players to atleast try a bit harder and try to get in the swing of things.

We can talk about changes to the team all we want but overall, McInnes will prob only make 1 or 2 changes and even then, it will prob not be the players we would expect to see being dropped that are left out.

I take huge offence to that comparison . ...but why oh why aren't we playing Jack in midfield. We are missing the accurate and disruptive passing game and the aggressive no nonsense bite he brought to the team.

A complete vacuum in terms of leadership now. Not a single natural leader in the squad.

If you don't know what a disruptive passing game is, you obviously don't understand football.

It is a passing game that scores 8 or higher on the lateral scale on a disruptomatograph.

Disruptpmatograph use has fallen out of favour recently though and has it has been replaced by the tactics tombola.

Great win for us. Back to basics says deek, and look what happens, we win.

Why try and be clever and over think things. One nil, four nil, who cares as long as we get the win.

Same again next time out, and we'll win again.
