The Mckenna Dilemma

TBH, Id say we would take 6 million if offered in January if the majority of the cash goes straight back into tying up Shinnie and GMS as well as getting a couple of fresh faces in....

Depends on the deal though.

£6m in cash up front - we'll likely take it.

£6m on a Huns pay-as-you-never-intend-to type deal with a down payment of £50k - fuck off.

If we get a big offer in January, the club should do all they can do get a Mclean type deal, where he is loaned back until summer.  Otherwise we're looking at a mid-table scrap and a cup exit as Considine becomes our resident LCB again.

A lot hinges on Hoban coming back, Devlin staying fit and retaining Lowe.  Last thing we want is three of our best back four gone, let alone four.

And an aside: bin your midfield signing failures and get one good no.10 Derek.

Short of losing to Stenhousemuir it looks like we'll have a relatively good season in the cups in the grand scheme of it.

Best to wait until we've played the 5 games before the winter break but I think its looking likely we'll be top six but a bit short of where we were the last 4-5 years.

Considine will not be asked to play LCB full time. 5 games in a row has been a push.

What about if we get knocked out round after by some dross?

"relatively good" if we win a total of 4 games from both cups?

We need a semi final/final/or trophy in The Scottish Cup as final league position looks like 3rd-7th.

Europe next season looks iffy at best.

We're only 4 points off 2nd without having played anywhere near our best. We'll go above Hearts, a side that's been riding high this season, if we win our game in hand.  We're nowhere near in as bad a situation as a lot of people think.

We're only 4 points off 8 and we're fucking brutal to watch and our squad is getting poorer and poorer as the wage bill goes higher.

A League Cup final defeat........ meh!

We'll need a Scottish Cup semi/final/or trophy to paper over these fault lines.

Found where I said 2m originally ?

What is your current valuation of him now (including his age/current contract length & his potential) & also what do you think we will sell him for? If that be January or in summer.

That should be three guesstimate figures you can now clearly state for your future 'I told you so's' that we can then add to all your other increasing valuations.

Gives you a number of very good chances to get close to any figure we do eventually get for him.
