  1. Good topic. I'm reminded of the old journalistic trope of 'CD bloat' that became a thing in the early 90's, as that format (capacity 79-80 mins) replaced vinyl and cassettes as the dominant medium. Consequently, we saw albums go from the 35-45 min mark, to 50, 60 or even 70+ mins, rarely with justification. A good case in point was Guns N Roses and when they followed up their all-time classic debut with the Use Your Illusion double set, both clocking in around 75 mins each. Some say a single disc would have been a rival for Appetite For Destruction, some say they were an ambitious, classic example of a band spreading their creative wings. I am in between; I heard enough great material for two albums, but would have cut them right down from 16/14 songs, to 12/10 respectively. There are of course many other examples...
  2. So he's a closet chutney ferret? Is that why his wife divorced him? 🤔
  3. Swinney is just a continuity candidate, who will oversee a controlled demolition of the SNP majority in the UK GE and 2016 elections. Then he'll sod off into the sunset with a golden handshake. You can forget about independence for the foreseeable, but I wonder if letting a unionist majority back in (both in the Scottish WM contingent and Holyrood) is what it needs, to not only focus minds among the independence support, but to remind the unconvinced and the apathetic just how little the 3 main Unionist parties give a damn about Scotland. I think Holyrood 2031 will be the decider for the independence movement.
  4. He's allegedly coming out and identifying as a transsexual Hun.
  5. Each to their own, I thought it was an interesting wee project. 🤷‍♂️
  6. I haven't been to Rhodes yet, but did the following in my 3 times in Greece; Skiathos - beautiful island with legendary beaches (Koukounaries is world famous apparently) and nearby day trips to other small islands like Skopolos and Alonnisis Zakynthos (AKA Zante) - beautiful place and has full-time conservationists working with the rare loggerhead sea turtles that inhabit it Crete - beautiful, large island with a lot to see, like the old leper colony of Spinalonga and nearby Santorini If you get the chance of day trips to ancient Athens and the ancient site of Olympia (with the original Olympic running track) then go for it. Good luck
  7. I think Dugdirt's carpet-muncher Jenny Gilruth will be lined up... Unless certain legal proceedings run their course. Angus Robertson also ruled out for same reasons. I don't think it would be a bad thing if the SNP get thumped at the GE and/or the 2026 election, to not only bring them back down to earth, but to also remind the people of Scotland just what a shower of cunts Labour are (not to mention the fact Starmer is just a Tory in a red tie). It would sharpen minds on both sides of the divide for a future independence debate around 2028-30. Either way, it won't be long before England tires of Red Tories and reverts to type and restores the real McCoy to power, against the wishes of 75-80% of Scotland's voters.
  8. He is understandably (if you know, you know) keeping a low profile while certain legal actions take their course. I think Clydeside Sheep alludes to some relevant points though, the SNP/YES movement have lost their way since 2015. Whatever you think of Salmond, he took Scotland to the brink and bequeathed a party and movement in great health, primed to bounce back from 2014's agonising defeat. Since 2015, the Sturgeon and Murrell regime had every perfect storm; the broken "Vow" and fudge of the Smith Commission, more Tory governments we never voted for, the EU vote (though an inconvenient truth is around 35-40% of SNP/YES supporters voted Leave and have been all but ignored since), the Corbyn collapse, the Red Tory Starmer and now a Tory implosion... yet still they can't move the dial beyond a few % points! I think a defeat for the SNP and subsequent clear out may be the best thing for a party drunk with power, complacent and full of careerist chancers and pension grifters - not to mention the nonce brigade of Harvey and co. acting as the tail that wags the dog.
  9. That drum fill in Tom Sawyer is fitting of a fine performance, was Hoilett really that good today? Hats off to him. Ay.
  10. I see CSI Vegas has been cancelled again, this time after 3 seasons. I still haven't checked out the comeback series, but the old stuff was great, if a little played out.
  11. A self-made man, kudos to you! 👍 As I said above, I think society places too much on academic qualifications, as opposed to real world applications.
  12. Here's a thought; assuming we cash in on Miovski in the Summer, why don't we try to entice Danny Ward back on a deal, either loan or permanent? I hear he's been short of first team football in recent times, which seems a criminal waste of a very good goalkeeper, so why not...
  13. I dare say it isn't just the league position, the drawn-out managerial farce, nor even the kick-off time, that's done this. I think the fact we've laid down to Rasellick so many times in recent years, especially after talking a good game in the press in the build-up, has been a contributing factor. That said, if we did upset the long odds, how many would come crawling out of the woodwork for a ticket?
  14. It's sad how his career has gone since leaving us, but how many times have we seen this scenario; promising youngster makes a big move too soon, long before they're the finished article, then struggles to make it in the game... The next part, whether he salvages his career or fades into obscurity, remains to be seen. He's still a young lad, so hopefully he'll turn it around.
  15. Clearly an accidental mistype, as is common when we use mobile devices. Your persistence in playing the keyboard commando is impressive though, I'll give you that. One can only wonder what you're compensating for... 🤔🙄
