You don't give a man like Bluto a drink in those piddly little glasses. Give him the bloody bottle.

Fair point but the point still stands that the better off should contribute their fair share to society.

After deducting the likely costs of means testing free prescriptions, it'd save somewhere in the region of £50 million per annum. Don't know about you but i'm pretty happy paying £10-£15 a year to ensure that this remains a universal benefit. This avoids us creating a haves and have-nots feeling amongst folk. Where the poorest in society can end up stigmatised and feeling less worthy.

Your view of folk getting free prescriptions as "twats" kind of backs up my point.

Tax is necessary but most tax is theft.

Don’t mind paying for schools, hospitals and infrastructure. Don’t mind paying for scaffies, teachers, doctors, snow ploughs etc.

But paying for politicians to waste our money, claim illegal expenses, setting up quangos for their public school mates, give out grants that get administered by their mates, bail out banks that are run by their mates, set up PFI’s that are owned by their mates, handing out billions to the pharmas and other corrupt corporations that they, their families and mates all have shares in, that ain’t right.

And YOU voted them in.

Presumably you could afford to pay for your stationery from Tesco?
