Self praise. I like it!

I don't know how McInnes is making a cunt of this management malarkey. I told Bruce to do a goal and he did. Amazed McInnes doesn't do that.

McInnes without beard - one final, one win.

McInnes with beard - two finals, no wins.

We got enough DNA money left for a set of bic razors and some shaving foam?

Struggling for friends to deliver them to, i'd guess.

Beard Spider?

Technically, Smiffy was co-manager, so it doesn't really count as two.......

Smiffy had the Scottish Cup at St Mirren as well so his two 0.5 trophies at Aberdeen would still put him on a total of two...

Don't forget everyone, today's the day the clocks go back 300 years when the hun fans open their Hampden songbook.

Durrant was leading with his studs going in to that 50/50 challenge, then pulled out and dived. It was clearly a calculated effort to hurt someone in red, either by injuring them or getting them carded.

Utter cretin.

"I've got 18 months left on my contract and Lenny will probably be talking Doric by then."

Get talking to him about a new one, Derek.

Any coincidence that Tansey is looking to get back playing again at the same time they're considering bringing alcohol back into football?

He's one smart cookie he is.

Micky Mellon.

Scottish, and a great name. If we've got any of Mark McGhee's training gear still stuffed away in a cupboard we can reuse it and save next year's DNA money for more heart monitors.

Lol aye whose story was that?

Erm... Derek's?

McInnes gave a statement to the Aberdeen website explaining his decision.

And he went on to elaborate on his comments last night.

"It is more than one reason, but for me, I wasn't prepared to rip up a contract and tarnish relationships I've had and built at Aberdeen and continue to have," he continued.

#1679311 Hearts 2 - 1 Aberdeen

Posted by Yorston Vasey on 21 October 2018 - 06:27 PM

My takeaway was sure aberdeen has not been treated well with calls and decisions, plus all the injuries have really hurt.
But that first goal from hearts came from a guy who couldnt cut it on the belgian NT and has made some appearances for Cameroon. Hearts casts a wider net.

Our goal came from a guy who had to be fished out a river with a net.

This has been brought up a few times by a few different posters but I couldn't give a shite where we finish in the league(bottom or play offs aside) if we won a trophy.

McInnes is not delivering success and that's what we should be striving for.

Reaching cup semis isn't success. Finishing second isn't success. Wee boys don't pin posters of the club secretary being handed prize money cheques on their walls.

Win some fucking trophies. That's success.

Aye, me too. It would make a crackin huge banner.

A big fuck off one (or fifteen) to cover the empty seats in our end would be glorious.

What kind of job would McInnes be realistically holding out for? He's turned down Rangers, and wouldn't go for Celtic so he's not going for another job in Scotland therefore his eye must be on a gig in England (I think he enjoys the day to day too much to consider the national team job right now).

He must surely know he's not getting an English Premier League job so it'll be Championship at best, but there are enough out of work managers around to take the half decent jobs at the too end should someone get poached by a struggling Premier League side so it'll be one of the relegation threatened sides (ie Rotherham, Reading, Milwall, Preston) but then would they not be looking for someone with more experience of scrapping against the drop?

Would he then have to look at League One? I reckon he would have too much of a sense of self worth to drop from Europa League football, cup semis and games against the Old Firm to financially crippled third tier English sides the likes of Coventry, Blackpool or Burton who he may consider too much of a step down or a gamble from the Dons. Would he go to a "project", ie an ambitious League Two or Conference side with grand plans to scale the pyramid? Would a club like that have confidence in someone like McInnes to deliver?

Are we stuck with the big-game-bottling negative fucker after all?
