I'm not arguing that Jack and McGinn cant turn in good performances as we have seen the past few games, nor that we would not miss their contrubution from time to time. But there comes a time in every player's career when it is time to move on. They are either stale or want to fulfil some particular ambition.

We'd miss McGinn more so should stretch as far as reasonable with the offer.

 

In terms of Jack we already have both shinnie and McLean who could adapt to his role so we shouldn't go overboard with an offer to him

If Jack could work a move to a Premiership side then great for him even if he is 7th choice. If he was to go to a lower level and not play that would be career suicide - fully expect it to happen though

Either he's fully researched his story having spoken to his extensive moles in the McGinn and AFC camps, or he's had a word with some random Hun who opined (wrongly of course) that " thay sheep will be fucked without him" and reported it as fact.

McGinn is arguably our best player even if he is inconsistent so would he be missed? I would have to say yes. Irreplaceable though, no way.

 

Jack is a capable player who appears to have gone stale or maybe just never became as good as we hoped. We already have O'Connor for that midfield berth though no?
