  1. Anderson is 6 inches too short and 6 stone too light to be a striker for McInnes. If it's between Killie and Dundee he's heading to Tayside.
  2. I reckon Raith, Thistle, and Airdrie are all capable of beating St. Johnstone in the play-off. Not much difference in standard from County either. All better than Livi have played this season.
  3. There's some interesting points in your post here Hulk but this one stood out. Is there a reason they don't want to be goalies? The poor quality of goalkeeping is something that really stands out whenever I've tried watching women's football, even the world cup. Whereas in men's football the goalies are often the two tallest people on the pitch, with the women a lot of the goalkeepers seem short, even in relation to their team mates. Any shot just inside the post, under the crossbar or aimed at the top corner is a guaranteed goal because they'll never reach it.

  5. Kids not taught these days that nobody likes a grass?
  6. First thought I had there is why make life easy for scouts from down south? They're already trying to pinch our best young players, why give them the footage to analyse them too?
  7. He can't be faulted for either goal but interestingly didn't really have a save to make despite our defence looking ropey at times, whereas we forced a few good saves out of their keeper
  8. I felt his opportunities weren't that clear cut. He had to dig them out from under his feet but still got a shot on target. 22 players started the game and for the majority tonight will be the pinnacle of their career. They'll be telling their mates down the pub in 20 years time that they "coulda been a contender". I think your expectations for young players at this level are too high. The majority won't succeed but I think Bavidge has a chance.
  9. I'm no expert in youth football and all its nuances so I'm not going to attempt a critique of all the various players and whether or not their performance was good for this level. I also don't know their ages and where they are/should be in their professional development by this stage and whether their individual performance was good or bad in relation to what is expected of them on a night like tonight. From your comments above you don't seem too impressed by Bavidge, but I think he was definitely one of the best players on the pitch but was denied by a goalkeeper who put in a (in my opinion) MOTM performance. In general I thought our forward line was pretty decent and would have scored more goals if they'd had a keeper of the expected standard.
  10. Who are the 7/11 who will be too old next season? Any idea which ones will be kept on and which released? I'd hoped to see more from Marshall today but I wonder if sending him on loan to Edinburgh City was a bad choice. Playing in a team losing every week can't have been good for his confidence. I really hope Bavidge can step up. His record at Kelty is decent and he looked one of the best players on the pitch today and looked like he wanted to win, whereas some looked happy to be there. I wonder if the best thing for Marshall's and Bavidge's development would be to send them out on loan to Championship teams for the first half of next season.
  11. Does that mean a few of them will be "culled" at the end of the season? Probably a poor choice of words but without a reserve, B, or U21 team there's nowhere for these players to go if they're neither ready for the first team or good enough to go out on loan with the prospect of improving sufficiently.
  12. Thought we were the better team overall. Dodgy pen and a big deflection for their goals. Their keeper was the difference, could've scored another two goals but for him. Thought our lads played really well and looking forward to see how they progress. Weegie TV will have it as the huns being the better team and deserved winners though.
  13. Somebody should remind them this isn't RangersTV, but I don't think they'd care.
