I actually think it was 110 shuttle bus journeys they came away with.

Roughly 5700 folk will take shuttle buses to games according to them.

:hysterical:

GIB.

Bit mad but I'm sure they don't really expect that to happen.

Either way.. "journeys" makes a massive fucking difference. You might do those 110 journeys with 55 or even something like 35 buses.

So nothing like a 100 buses tbf.

True. It would actually be better with 100 buses as it won't be pleasant waiting for the bus to return for the next pick up in Nov to March.

Summer fitbas the future.....imo.

Your right though, I'm sure the club don't really expect 5700 to take the shuttle buses but they do expect others to believe it.

The bollocks spoken from both sides has been remarkable.

Pity it'll all be a waste of time in the end.......imo.

Well you can't have it both ways.

Are you saying 100 buses is ridiculous (even though we both know that's not what they said) or are you saying 100 buses would be great because of less waiting?

?‍♂️

It's 41 buses making 63 journeys designed to transport 5,715 to the stadium.

And 70 buses making 74 journeys designed to transport 5,715 from the stadium.

The 100 journeys thing is for Old Firm games when they expect a capacity crowd.

Then, it's 72 buses: 100 journeys before the game for 8,065 fans. And 103 buses:115 journeys after it.

The "waiting around after a game for a bus", they believe that all fans going to the city centre will be straight on a bus after a game. The only return journeys are from Dyce and Kingswells P&R.

For Old Firm games they say only two bus loads will be waiting for buses to return from city centre.

Bear in mind though the actual transport plan when the stadium opens, and the one in the stadium application, are likely to be vastly different.

♂️

100 buses is ridiculous. 100 journeys is ridiculous too as waiting for a smaller number of buses to return in the cold and rain/snow is ridiculous.

ie all bus scenarios are ridiculous due to the ridiculous location.

Actually took a tram to Edinburgh city centre after a rugby international and they seemed to shift a lot of people quickly and efficiently. Could be an idea for Aberdeen city council to build a tram link from Kingsford to the city centre in time for the opening of the new stadium. Through the week the residents of Westhill could use it to go back and fore to their work, then they wouldn't need cars and could not complain about people parking across their fucking driveways once a fortnight.

There's about as much chance of Aberdeen City Council paying for a tram to be built as Betty Swallicks agreeing that Kingsford is an ideal location

Why do you put a smiley face? It's cause you're desperate for the club to fail. Absolutely bizarre. It's happening now so surely as a fan you hope it goes well.

Have managed to get my hands on the correspondence between Aberdeenshire Council and the club on possible locations for the stadium in the shire, back in 2012.

Got the exact locations for numerous areas in Hillhead/Portlethen, Blackdog, Balmedie, Blackburn and, incredibly, Westhill - on a completely different site from Kingsford. Bizarre that Aberdeenshire council rejected Kingsford after offering a different site that would have been even worse for traffic.

Will post the full details later with the locations when I get the chance.

That's got big brown envelopes full of something made of paper written all over it! IMHO of course.

The WANKS have a new target for their protests now. WAEPAL has been set up to ruin my lunch.

Now it's got personal.

Saw that earlier.

https://www.nokingsfordstadium.org.uk/2018/08/17/follow-waepal-object-to-a944-drive-thru-proposals-and-further-threat-to-our-green-space-and-infrastructure/

A new charity to fight development along the A944 corridor.

Funnily enough they are making out that this objection is against the restaurant and fast food outlet applications which is on the doorstep of prime four so nothing to do with Kingsford.

Yet they are asking for money to fight this development but asking that it's paid into the No Kingsford Stadium bank account.

More Piss & Wind.

PS there was a comment made by one of their own supporters (Mamdud fitever) who in his attempt to add his voice of support, actually pissed on their cause.

His quote was something like he wanted to voice his support but he was "delusional" that despite putting money toward the fighting fund, he was upset that when driving home every night the work was continuing. "What's the point of objecting".

Lol

While he was clearly trying to make a comment in support, his words actually went against their cause.

His comments have since been wiped from their website.
