I'd looked Maynard up on Transfermarkt and he is 361 Premiership minutes and 72 League Cup minutes so 433 minutes. Cosgrove far eclipsing that but getting very little grief in comparison.

It's a tough watch.. I thought stockley was bad but he got bearable? His overall game just seems fucking brutal. Maybe if he flukes a goal he might turn it around.

But due to a complete fuck up in the striker department of our squad building he's suddenly our main striker.

 

Should be playing in he reserves and coming off the bench in games to ruffle defenders for the last 10 minutes.

When he signed he said he wouldn't feature much and was a signing for this season. Since that Tims game, he's barely been out the team. He's absolutely dog shit in my opinion.

Cosgrove is playing because hes big enough and stupid enough to continually challenge experienced thugs like Gordon Greer in the air. Hes also green enough to think he can do it without sticking his elbows out. Decent centre halfs can deal with him usually by not challenging and just letting him fuck it up on his own. Decent set ups like Burnley and Celtic play the numbers game where one jumps solely to impact the player leaving a second to worry about the ball.

 

Hes all weve got to do that at the moment. So either the midfield learns what a through ball is or suck it up.
