Injured: None

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Hayes

Pawlett & Hayes are a booking away from a ban in their next Scottish Cup game - either final or 4th Round of the 2014/15 competition. Hayes unlikely to do any contact training before Sunday but could be the AFC wild card for this one. Players looking back on form against United and Hibs and the formation working well means the side picks itself for this one.

Langfield

Logan Anderson Reynolds Considine

Jack Flood

McGinn Pawlett Robson

Rooney

subs: Weaver, Shaughnessy, Robertson, Low, Smith, Vernon, Hayes

others for consideration: Tate, Zola, McManus

Prediction: 1-0 McGinn - a lot closer this time

Crowd: 18,135 COYR!!

How many 'biggest game of the season' has there been this year - great stuff

Play like we did tonight then id be pretty confident of a win.

On the downside, Gary McDonald is injured for Saints so he wont be featuring unfortunately.

Saints arent a bad side but they arent particularly streetwise and are completely devoid of any great pace, an early goal would kill them.

They surely wont be as naive this time though, they were under the impression that they dominated the last time for long spells when in actual fact they played right into Aberdeens hand, passing it about at the back for a wee bit before launching the next inevitable long ball forward up to their midget strikers.

Going to enjoy this one. Much less pressure on us now having won the league cup, but I have no doubt the team will be right up for this one. Don;t think St Johnstone have scored against us yet this season so I am confident we can get past them. Good to see McGinn coming back to form and his confidence will by high again. between him, rooney and Pawlett we will have plenty chances.

2-0 mcginn and rooney.

dons v dundee united in the final.

on a side note, how dundee united are 13/10 to beat rangers is beyond me. united 2 divisions above, should be odds on against a team that couldnt even score against Raith over 2 hours of play!

Just wondering, in the unlikely event Hayes does make it (which I very much doubt)... who would we drop in his place?

Robson - nope. Midfield commander

Pawlett - nope. Gives us that sparkle and link up play with Rooney

McGinn - nope. Back on scoring form and has been doing his 'team' duties well

Flood - nope. Midfield grafter who breaks up play and takes ball from defence.

Jack - perhaps. Although you could say that McInnes likes the two of them together to boss/dictate play in that area.

Trying to recall what we were doing when Hayes was fit. Jack was injured was he not? Bit of a healthy problem for McInnes to contend with if and when that situation arises.

Hayes played some games at left back last time we had all six fit. It has not happened many matches this season though.

That was just as cover when Considine was still out and Clark got injured. And he hit a rich vein of form towards middle of the season which more than justified his starting place.

Personally, I'd drop Jack, but that's just me. I like to see an attacking formation with pace in it.
