Yeah massive, most cooncil schemes had their own gangs.  Hilton Tongs, Torry Derry, Kincorth Randal, Gringo (Mastrick/Summerhill), The Fleet/Flock (Garthdee i think), to name but a few.   On a Saturday afternoon they all came together in the Beachend as the YY Crew and on  Saturday night would be kicking fuck out of each other at the Palace or Beach Ballroom.  Used to meet outside the graveyard on Union Street in droves and walk about the old carnies. 

Still one or two of us old heads going about although most had hung up their boots by the 80's.
