As long as Scotland finish in the top 12 this season which we will then 2024/25 Cup Winners or 3rd will be guaranteed Euro groups in the 2025/26 UEFA competitions. Unless Scottish clubs do exceptionally well in Europe next season then Scotland will drop to around 16th which would mean 1 less euro qualifier from the 2025/26 SPFL campaign.

The scenario I was replying to was a 1-0 win for Motherwell. If that one was a draw we would have to have bettered Hibs goal difference of -7. But totally academic now.

In the scenario given it would have been Motherwell's goal difference of -4 that we would have to beat.

Dundee come to us next Saturday needing a win to secure Top 6.

We'd have had to beat Dundee 10-0 in that scenario

Just need to beat Dundee by 7 clear goals and hope for a draw between Motherwell & Hibs Hold on - VAR!!!

One thing to note is that next season is likely to be the last for some time that 3rd (or cup win) guarantees European group stage football. So looking to finish 3rd next season is especially important from a financial point of view. But knowing our luck we'd romp home to 3rd and ICT* win the cup! *Other non arse cheek teams are available.
